For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday... Thank the Veterans who served in The United States Armed Forces.
Looking forward to tomorrow's freedom? Support The United States Armed Forces today!
Good morning TROOPS!
A certain bird person went missing for a few days. Here are some clues to her where abouts.
1) I hold the seat of power in my land. 2) The President of the United States has residence here. 3) It's not a State, but a District. 4) I saw the Viet Nam Wall and other monuments. 5) Poets gather there for Conventions! 6) Where was the Convention held??
Because our Military is strong, we are assured, that in America we can do our dreams. Anyone may write, be free to travel, free to be what our heart desires.
bentfeather, read her poem in front of judges and sixty poets. My poem did not win, but I won a door prize to return next year to compete again.
So what did we do the rest of the time?? There was live entertainment, dancing, dining, open mike reading, chatting and making new friends. I now have friends from New Zealand.
~Tony Orlando & Dawn~Knock Three Times On the Ceiling~
Tony Orlando was our entertainment for Saturday night. He is fabulous! Tony Orlando is also, a big supporter of our TROOPS.
~Tony Orlando & Dawn~Sweet Gypse Rose~
~Percy Sledge~If You Don't Know Me By Now~

Okay, enough about me. Now on with entertaining our TROOPS! Thank You all for your service. Without your volunteering to service our country, a trip as this might not be possible.

Well, I strolled in here, making the usual mistake in hopes that these threads would improve. But, as usual, they're a big disappointment. Worst of all, no one is doing anything about it. It's pathetic.

LUVVY is now resting outside, LOL!! She's a smart little kitty, but I faked her out!
Still in the mid-90's here, and the forecast calls for more of the same the rest of the week. Dang!
To: bentfeather
I'd have demanded an elevator myself! Thank heavens it wasn't the real thing....but not pleasant in & of itself! Glad you were able to get some rest after. Someday I'll tell you a story about a fire. When I have more energy than tonight! lol
Hubby & I have planned a DC vacation for the spring. I've never been & it's a big goal of mine!

You're doing a wonderful job, despite what the other FReepers are saying. I'm here to support you all the way.
:)

Poor puddy tat--has to be out in the ole heat. I was really hoping it would cool down by the weekend, so the people who are going to Crawford wouldn't pass out. Those guys from California are used to cooler weather unless they live in the desert part.

I would be absolutely lost without your support. :)
It was a grand weekend. So much history every where one looked. The limo drive from the airport was great, went by so many monuments.
