Do you know how many times I have passed the exit for that town in NC while traveling I-85? Since 1968. (Of course you don't LOL!) And to think KSM went to school there?
It is almost in the middle of nowhere. Where one would think he was isolated from terrorists. My God, that is scary.

Basically what I have realized SO FAR, is that if we had rooted for and helped the Soviet Union in the 1980's, to defeat Afghanistan...none of this MIGHT have happened..
Bin Ladin got his reputation from defeating the Soviets, even though a CIA guy that was stationed in Pakistan, discounts Bin Ladin's supposed "heroics.""
Also, right after the war, the leader of the Afghan group and his two sons were "car bombed", which gave Bin Ladin the leaders position.
Also, back in the 80's there were already 30 something Al-queda "outposts" in American cities...as well as 30 something al-Queda headquaters in 38 or so countries!
