Bomb Threat in Crawford
Powerline ^

Posted on 08/21/2005 2:05:39 PM PDT by Republican Red

Our correspondent Gene Allen reports that just a few minutes ago, an unidentified man telephoned the Yellow Rose Gift Shop in Crawford, Texas and said, "Your shop is going up in smoke, you better get out now." Law enforcement is on the scene.

Gene describes the Yellow Rose as "a pro-Bush gift shop with a Ten Commandments monument out front. It is located across the street from the Coffee Station, down the street from the Crawford Peace House."

I don't suppose any of those peace-loving folks would have anything to do with a bomb threat.

Do these Morons have any idea of the sophistication of the Secret Service's/FBI's Voice Identification Computer Software?

Just because the threat was devilered miles away from the President, don't assume for a moment that the Secret Service/Feds/BATFE won't jump in with both feet!

It was probably a DU Moonbat upset over the lack of coverage since Cindy split for L.A.

Jack.

"ULTIMATE mid-life crisis"

I think they're getting past "mid-life" by now. I'd say it's more like the early stages of Alzheimer's.

Crawford Peace House, which can be shut down as a common nuisance.

Maybe the local cannibus club is also located in that building, with Deadhead Night every evening from 9 to dawn.

I think that's a pretty safe bet, looking at many of those ditch people.

This article in USENET is titled:

DEMOCRATS RESORT TO TERRORISM IN CRAWFORD

And in news:alt.politics under this thread some lefty responds with:

"I smell a rove. Typical m.o. to bug your own office and blame it on the nearest democrat. Why would peace-niks do such a thing only to be busted out of town? Things are good for them, it's the Bush camp that seems to be nervously squirming here. Let's see what happens next."

You just gotta love these anti-war, peace loving idiots that try to make a point by blowing stuff up and killing people.

Similar to the enviro-wackos that burn Hummers (tires, gasoline, and all) because Hummers pollute the air.

That is because, at heart, most of them are marcxists

Or at worst, Merckxists, who have never, in their hearts, forgiven either Greg LeMond OR Lance Armstrong for winning the Tour de France multiple times.

(Runs for exit, ducking for cover.)

Speaking of such...and being as Lance was in Crawford yesterday...any word as to whether Cheryl Crow stopped into Camp Cindy to express her solidarity?

Thanks for that link to the Yellow Rose Gift Shop-- I like the way you think and why didn't I think to find it?!

Here's my favorite line from their website:
We have a great selection of quality saddles, ropes and hats (if the President invites you out to the ranch, you'll need these things).

LOL!

Ah yes, terrible 1960s memories.....Hippie threats to put LSD in the water supply....Yippies pouring blood over windows and desks of ROTC offices.....anarcists throwing bags of urine/feces at anyone in a uniform.

HEY! They were all about peace and love and all that stuff! /sarc

Yes, they were. People who think they were all "peace and love" either were too young to have seen what they did, or else believed what the MSM of the time told them--or both. Not all of them, but some of them, didn't think twice about lobbing a brick or a rock at a policeman--or anyone who disagreed with them, really.

Bombings and arson weren't exactly unknown to them also.

There is, and always has been, an undercurrent in the far-left, anti-war, anti-American movement that is violent.

'Undercurrent' is an understatement.

Violence on the part of the Left is practically mainstream. Even in the U.S. Leftist agitators are responsible for union violence, race riots back in the '30s and '40s, and the riot at the Democratic National Convention back in '68.

And abroad, you don't have to go back as far as the Bolsheviks, the Maoists, and the German Red Brigades and the Irish IRA -- even today we have Leftist "anti-globalists" wreaking death and mayhem wherever they go.

To me, it would not too surprising that the adherants and proponents of Cindy Sheehans hate-filled, anti-American messages, might ultimately resort to the same tactics as their allies...the inusrgent/terrorists.

It'd be really unwise of these nutjobs to attempt something of that nature.

Take a Spielberg pan-back to an elevation of 1000 feet..
do they realize what they are in the middle of???

Rural Texans are not an easily terrorized Starbucks crowd.

They run toward explosions.

The two Camp Caseys are people in support of the President, named for a young man who's last name was Casey, his Father took down two crosses they at up in the "ditch camp", with his name on it. Didn't want his son disrespected by those nuts!!!

Agreed.

But, in the hearts they have an inkling. It is why they, in general, are such proponents of gun control...in their hearts, they know what the result would be if they really "got something going" in a nation where the majority of the 80+ million gun owners, with several hundred million firearms and billions of rounds of ammunition are conservative, God-fearing Americans.

IMHO, they just don't fully appreciate or realize how thoroughly devastating and annihilating to their cause it would be if they ever sparked a real lash back.
