Bomb Threat in Crawford
Powerline ^
Posted on 08/21/2005 2:05:39 PM PDT by Republican Red
Our correspondent Gene Allen reports that just a few minutes ago, an unidentified man telephoned the Yellow Rose Gift Shop in Crawford, Texas and said, "Your shop is going up in smoke, you better get out now." Law enforcement is on the scene.
Gene describes the Yellow Rose as "a pro-Bush gift shop with a Ten Commandments monument out front. It is located across the street from the Coffee Station, down the street from the Crawford Peace House."
I don't suppose any of those peace-loving folks would have anything to do with a bomb threat.

Agreed.
Just because these people are hateful souls that hate the fact the President was re-elected over their protestations doesn't mean the People of Crawford should have to be subject to bomb threats. Round the 'peaceniks' up before they actually start blowing up buildings and kick 'em back to San Fran.

Moveon.org has embraced the Sheehan cause. That means that the Democratic Party is now behind the 'movement'.

Sounds like the Mother Sheehan gang is getting more and more like the Religion of Peace every day. Yea, dazed, confused, and morally bankrupt.

I think it is because she's being backed and directed by an organization of people out there like Michael Moore who are anti-war and anti-Bush, Shelton said. I personally think what she is doing is taking away from the honor of her son. She is in dire need of physiological attention to embrace the likes of MM at the cost of her own sons memory.

Yellow Rose Gift Shop in Crawford, Texas ... Visited Crawford back in early May. Yellow Rose gift shop has some great pro-Bush t-shirts, hats, bumper stickers, etc.. Bought a t-shirt with Crawford, TX printed below a red/white & blue steer horn with the Texas state star in the middle. Made a point of wearing it this summer when I visited Martha's Vineyard ... got several very cold stares in Edgartown.

OH---my goodness...my blood sugar went dangerously HIGH reading that "sugary" bit of journalism...
I had not heard anything about a post office problem, have you?
I do understand though, that postal workers that would get a letter that says Cindy Sheehan, Crawford, Texas, is NOT going to get letter carriers in 105 degree heat out chasing around LOOKING for someone to hand it to...
(my husband works for postal service, so I get a BIT touchy when I read disparaging things, sometimes...sorry)

Shelton, who waits tables at the restaurant, said she has served meals to a lot of Crawford residents over the last week and she estimates 90 percent of them support the president and disapprove of Sheehan's protest. Very cool! Just what I'd expect too and she would know.

First Fonda's hippymobile "tour"; now Joanie Phonie coming to Crawford to caterwaul! Talk about a 60's flashback, by a bunch of over the hill pubicity hounds!

Odds are running about 6-1 against any report of this in the MSM. Unless the blogosphere seizes onto it.
