Yeah. The cousin of our then day care provider was hit by one in Guadalajara a decade ago. Injured him very badly, he died that day.

No one thinks its funny that a woman was injured. What causes the humor to kick in is the irony of a "manhole" "Cover" being "Blown" causing an "explosion" in "San Francisco."

And the explosion being described as sounding like "a big poof"...

Well, you certainly have my respect. When I visited one a while back, I had problems getting the images out of my head. It took a few weeks. Few things in this world are as painful as people with very serious burns.

Well .. just because people have been here a long time .. that does not automatically make them "conservatives" - and you'll find a lot of them are Libertarians.

So that's where the disparity comes .. people assume that because some have been here a long time, that they're automatically conservatives.
