This reporter is hearing about 2 more positive steroid tests, two in the American League and one in the National League.
The story was confirmed by multiple sources inside Major Leage Baseball who say that the Roger 'The Rocket' Clemens is in the process of appealing the decision. (of a 10 game automatic suspension for steriods for the future Hall of Famer )
Take it with a grain of salt but it wouldn't suprise me in the least if this comes out in the next few days.
I believe this pending announcement could be the one that 'brings baseball to its knees.'

think about it..
roids help regenerate the body.
If he was having back issues, maybe he thought that using the roids would make him feel better....
it relates....
hell they GIVE you steroids when you have knee surgery. If the Rocket had back muscle issues....well you can do the math....
yup , and may I mention all those guys that still had great stats and served in WWII
I hope it's not Damon, he is on my fantasy team.
yea and I look significantly different now than I did in 1986 and I don't have the bankroll he does either....
photo evidence is all well and good, but since MLB didn't have a policy before last year, we just don't know.
As exolained elsewhere in this thread... If they are busy fretting over baseball they are not messing with your liberties.
No man's life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.....Mark Twain
Johnny Damon only uses steroids in his hair. Can he get in trouble for that?
I didn't know Damon used to be a switch hitter......
I agree. The biggest problem with all this is.. now, you can't be 'sure' of anyone.
Mike Schmidt was one of the classiest guys in the game. But, who knows? (I saw him end a 20 inning game in Houston with the longest home run I ever saw... 420+ feet in the Dome).
This thought crossed my mind last year when everyone was making such a big deal about Bonds maybe breaking Aaron's HR record. Heck, how do we know Hammerin Hank didn't extend his career a few years with some chemical help?
The entire game is tainted. And, I'm afraid my beloved football is next. :-(
Except in Damon's case, the drug in question isn't steroids. It's Rogaine.
He said they weren't around when he played. I believe him. He also said if they would have been available, he probably would have indulged. Maybe I'm naive, but I generally take a person at their word until they give me reason to do otherwise.
Well, maybe they weren't 'rampant' whe Mike played, but they were definitely "around". They have been since the 50's at least. Ahnold, the Terminator, was using them heavily in the 60's.
Maybe, you now have a reason to doubt.
circumstantial....
EVERYONE gains weight between 23 and their 30s...especially if they work out...
As we have seen with guys like Palmeiro, roids won't necessarily make you bigger.....
I really doubt that, because steroids had just entered the Western track scene and the NFL a few years before that. Baseball has always been way behind the curve in terms of strength and conditioning. Jose Canseco says (and I believe him - his words about Palmeiro proved right) that he introduced steroids to the league in the late 1980's.
Bottom line: I doubt that Hank Aaron even knew what steroids were. He was consistently good for a very long time, but rarely spectacular. His record is legit.
More like fans don't care if football players are on roids; in fact, I think a lot of fans would be upset if they found out that there were no players on their own team using roids but players on other teams were.
The only reason people are so obsessed about it in baseball is that people care about baseball records, and for the most part don't care about football records.
