Wouldn't it be GREAT if 10.000 vehicles like rolling thunder descended upon Crawford Texas in support of our brave men and women fighting for freedom, rolling up behind the 100 or so at the media whore vigil.

If only one of them vehicles was a monster truck, might be interesting to see Sheehans car and the rest flattened...as they drove up....gotta make room for the incoming cars you know...lol

Actually...a convoy of humvees with soldiers added to the mix would be awesome to see....with huge yellow ribbons tied to each.....and a big sign that read " Kick ASS in Iraq and Take NAMES Later When the Dust Settles"

Cindy be too dumb to realize that we're getting a two-fer with the campaign in Iraq. First, we got rid of Saddam. Second & a lot more important, is that Bush & Co. 'turned the table' on terrorists. Bush has established a more traditional battleground on which to fight & kill terrorists in Iraq (in the ME) instead of trying to arrest them in the US or root them out of the caves & mountains in Afghanistan. With US soldiers on the front line as opposed to US civilians. And he's leaving the terrorists and radical Islam with the difficult job of rationalizing/ justifying why & how it came to be that the battle is going down in their neighborhood. Why the battle happens to be going down in Iraq is because Iraq is better than Afghanistan and because Saddam was too stupid to understand that although he was relatively insignificant, the opportunity he was presenting was not.

I wonder if we laid her comments side-by-side with other war protests (e.g., Vietnam) I wonder how very similar it would be?

The stuff she said in this statement is totally foolish. I can only think that, either, she is part of the propaganda being vomitted OR she is being fed "hook-LINE-and-sinker" exactly what to say.

Cause IMO anyone who solely protests the President of US of A or America itself, when others are involved (e.g., terrorists, rogue countries, etc.), is doing so only to divert attention from the real issue! Just FODDER! AND............BS.......IMO.

It is scary to think that so many Americans can be so ignorant!

Ping please!

God bless the West family and Phillip may he rest in the arms of the Lord forever.

I am in Canada but if they have a vigil here or in Buffalo (or in Atlanta when I'm there the end of September) I will be there.

Cindy Sheehan's words are talking points of the democrat party, Howard Dean, Jophn Kerry, the Clintons and that ilk. Despicable toads, one and all.

I loathe them, and I loathe the media that is giving this deranged crackpot her 15 minutes of fame. This is the lowest political attack on the President I have ever seen. Her son must be spinning in his grave, as are all the others who have been killed in OIF and OEF.

I'm reposting this so everyone can read it:

By: Marilyn Duff

The grieving mother camped on the road outside Bush's home in Texas has company in her grief.

Somewhere in Baghdad or Pakistan, maybe at this moment, a mother swathed in black robes squats on the floor of a hut, watching the elders of her tribe strap a bomb to her handsome teen aged son.

They cinch up the belts and murmur to him of the car he will get to drive at high speed, his future as a hero of Islam, and, of course, the seventeen virgins who await him in "heaven."

She sobs as other women try to comfort her. The boy is her favorite. A golden child he was, with a mop of black curls and eyes that looked up at her when he nursed at her breast, when she taught him to walk and when he offered bunches of desert flowers from his small hands.

Now she can see the fear in his eyes, but because she is a woman in an Islamic country she is powerless to stop the fanatical leaders of Jihad.

Her son is to die.

She knows it.

But she cannot stop it.

It was the same kind of Islamic men who stole four American jetliners full of fathers, mothers and little children and flew them into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field.

Here in America we were 'giving peace a chance' that day, we and all those people in the upper floors of the two towers, sipping coffee at their desks and chatting at the water coolers when their world exploded into flames.

The same kind of fanatical Muslim Jihadists who strap bombs to kids, even Downs Syndrome kids, did not care about little children on airliners, or loving dads in business suits whispering goodbye on cell phones in the back rows of jets.

So Cindy Sheehan down there in Texas blames George Bush for her son's death as a soldier in Iraq. But her son was of legal age when he signed his name and enlisted. He made the choice. And though he may have signed up for the benefits the military offers, and which she doubtless approved at the time, he also swore to defend his country.

"His country." America, the leader of the free world, and now the foremost defender of Western civilization, democracy, freedom of speech, liberty to worship as we choose, and the pursuit of happiness - no matter how we live our lives.

America, the exception to all other countries in the world with our glorious Constitution and Bill of Rights.

America, the envy of the world.

The men who strap bombs to schoolboys in Iraq know nothing - nothing - of democracy or civilization.

Temple man at odds with Crawford protest

Gary Qualls, 48, of Temple on Wednesday removed a cross bearing the name of his son, Louis Wayne Qualls, from the roadside memorial of the anti-war demonstrators near President Bush’s Crawford ranch.

“They have the right to protest,” he said of the followers of Cindy Sheehan. “But they are not there for a just cause.”

Sheehan has gained a lot of attention for saying that she wanted to speak to President Bush, even though published reports said Bush met with Sheehan two months after her son Casey was killed in Iraq.

Qualls said he has given several media interviews, including one with CNN. Today he is supposed to go back to Crawford for a CNN television conference that he said would be broadcast worldwide.

“I’m just trying to support our troops,” he said. “Our sons and daughters are true fallen heroes and their names do not need to be used in any personal vendettas.”

His son, a Marine lance corporal, died last year in Fallujah while protecting his convoy during an ambush. Qualls is himself a military veteran, and participated in the evacuation of Saigon when the United States withdrew from Vietnam.

“I’m standing up for my son,” he said. “For all soldiers of the military services, all fallen heroes and President Bush.”

Something Mrs. Sheehan needs to think about: her son joined the Army VOLUNTARILY.

Saddam and his Ba'athist forces made sure that these children never grew up enough to volunteer for anything.
