Jennings was as biased, if not more, than Dan Rather. Though I generally think Jennings' bias was against America, Rather was anti-conservative.

Um...I don't quite know how to say this but: He's DEAD. How much older can "news" get? Sorry my friends, but I know when to move on...

"Who’s Afraid of Communism? “Medical care was once for the privileged few. Today it is available to every Cuban and it is free. Some of Cuba’s health care is world class. In heart disease, for example, in brain surgery. Health and education are the revolution’s great success stories.” – World News Tonight, April 3, 1989."

I see Jennings didn't rush to Cuba to get his lung cancer treated.

The maudlin fawning in the media over the departure of a commie-loving, pali-terrorist apologist like Jennings is enough to make me puke. O'Blowhard was especially sickening.

We can't memoralize a person who became a U.S citizen just to vote for Hillary Clinton in 2008 for president?

Peter Jennings: 20 Years Of Liberal Bias

I don't understand why this whining commie from Canuckistan got so much credit as a media icon, he never graduated high school, reluctantly took American citizenship very late in his life. Why do we like to glorify mediocrity, incompetence and downright antiamericanism?

Okay. What shall we discuss instead?

Yes, he is Dead! But the lies and the job this foreign propagandist did on the American people still live on. Let the truth about him come out now.

I always resented the fact that he worked and became so very famous and wealthy here in the states and yet never became a citizen until just two years ago. oh well, that doesn't matter now. R.I.P.

I have replied to you before, but how nice to have you state what I was going to say. Also he was a High School drop out and as you say all these years he has been living and, I would suppose, becoming wealthy. yet has been a citizen only two years.

Great post!
Not to speak ill of the dead or anything, but I am glad that Jennings will do no more damage to my country.

The ropes are off. Jennings was nothing but a commie/socialist shill who should be remembered that way.

While I disagreed with Jennings politically, there is something to be said for respect for the dead. RIP Mr. Jennings.

Not surprising. Jennings was a Canadian who only became a US citizen in 2003.

So, when Castro dies (after 50 years, give or take, of communisn)we should just move on?
Jennings abused the power of his medium to manipulate the news for 20 years. He isn't 'old news', but a significant political discourse.

And those are some real kickers from Jennings. Lessee, Bush (and conservatives in general) are supposed to be mental midgets to the likes of Jennings and many Hollywood liberals, who themselves can barely get by high school-- if they make it that far. The Jennings loves to run down America, but probably became a US citizen at the end to enoy the comparative benefits over Canada in terms of prompt and effective medical care and to set aside more of a nest egg for his family when he died.

I wondered why Rush said nothing about Jennings death. I can only imagine what he thought. Hannity had a little tribute but that was all I heard on talk radio.

Just another undereducated leftie. I remember him bashing Bush on 9-11-01 for not immediately returning to DC, and I'll never forgive him for it. Phone Bill is claiming Jennings wasn't an idealogue--because he admired a conservative Canadian broadcaster--but then O'Bloviator's perspective is more than a tad warped having spent so much time hanging around and admiring undereducated lefties.
