Cindy Sheehan vs. the Blue Angels
Gold Star Families for Peace ^ | GSFP staff

Posted on 08/13/2005 12:03:31 PM PDT by Generic_Login_1787

As you know, concerned private citizen Cindy Sheehan was one of the founders of Gold Star Families for Peace in January. Here's a link to their upcoming speaking schedule.

On September 10, Sheehan will be speaking at a protest of the Blue Angels.

The Blue Angels?

Yes. According to their flier they have a problem with "children" being "taught to idolize these 'gods of metal.'" That's because the "expensive war promotion air show" is a "recruiting gimmick at a time when the military is in desperate need of more of our kids to fight in Iraq." Plus, "real angels don't drop bombs."

I hope some more of her new friends show up so she doesn't have to fight her lonely crusade all alone ...

This poor, poor lady desperately needs to be checked into a Mental Health Care Facility...and FAST!

With all due respect...

Menopause.

Dear Cindy,

I'm writing this letter slow because I know you can't read fast.

I don't live where we did when you left home for Crawford. I read in the newspaper that most accidents happen within 20 miles from your home, so I moved. I won't be able to send you the address because the last family that lived here took the house numbers when they moved so that they wouldn't have to change their address.

This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine. I'm not sure it works so well though, last week I put a load in and pulled the chain and haven't seen them since. The weather isn't bad here. It only rained twice last week, the first time for three days and the second time for four days.

About that coat you wanted me to send you, your good friend, Michael Moore said it would be too heavy to send in the mail with the buttons on, so we cut them off and put them in the pockets. Your other friend, Barbara Streisand, locked her keys in the car yesterday. We were really worried because it took her two hours to get me and your father out. Your sister had a baby this morning, but I haven't found out if you are an aunt or uncle. The baby looks just like Martin Sheen. Your adopted Uncle Ted Kennedy, fell in a whiskey vat last week. Some men tried to pull him out, but he fought them off valiantly and drowned. We had him cremated and he burned for three days. Three of your friends went off a bridge in a pick-up truck. Uncle Jesse Jackson was driving. He rolled down the window and swam to safety. Your other two friends were in back. They drowned because they couldn't get the tailgate down.

There isn't much more news at this time. Nothing much has happened. Hope you get a trailer in Crawford soon.

Sincerely,
Your ex-husband Bob

P.S. I was going to send you some money down to your new camp in Crawford but the envelope was already sealed.

I take heat on FR from time to time because I applaud people who ditch bad spouses. The fact that someone leaves a spouse, or cheats on them and finds someone better and more compatible is a good thing, not a bad thing.

I think Mr. Sheenan is a good example - he so disagrees with his spouse that he has made the rational choice that leaving her is better than tacitly supporting someone who, it appears, doesn't want to breathe the same air as Cindy.

I can't fault him for that, really.

If he were to come forward and oppose her it would go a long way to clipping her wings.

He could simply say, "my wife has always been and anti-war protester. She opposed my son's decision to go in the military. She is wrong to use my son as a mere tool to support her long time anti-war position. She needs help, and those political opportunists are only hurting her a second time."

Nobody else could say that.

"Why is she getting so much air time?"

Because the Leftist traitors want to alter public opinion, that's why.

I've heard that he's preparing his own statement.

The left is also babbling that her other 3 children may join her in Crawford.

I may win the lottery tonight, but probably not.

Oh, it gets even better.

The leaflet these geniuses have produced:
http://www.angelfire.com/de3/4osad/GNBlueAngelsProtest.pdf

My favorite bit: "As we face massive social spending cuts in our state and nation, the time has come for the public to
say that we must convert our huge military industrial complex to peaceful and sustainable production.
Over 50% of every tax dollar now goes to fight “endless war.” "

These people are fond of outright lies. See here:
http://a255.g.akamaitech.net/7/255/2422/07feb20051415/www.gpoaccess.gov/usbudget/fy06/pdf/budget/tables.pdf
Page 22 of 27, Budget Summary by Category

2004 2005 2006
DOD: 436 443 424
Non DOD: 459 487 497
Social Security: 492 515 540
Medicare: 265 290 340
Medicaid: 181 194 199
Other: 299 337 331
Net Interest: 160 178 211

"Massive social spending cuts in our state and nation?" Lessee: welfare going from at least 938 BILLION dollars in 2004 to at least 1.079 TRILLION dollars in 2006 is a "Massive cut?" What would they consider an *increase?* "Over 50% of every tax dollar now goes to fight “endless war.”" Lessee... out of a budget of 2.568 Trillion dollars for '06. DoD gets 424 Billion of that. Accordign to my math, that's about 16.5%.

If Republicans can be tarred as "anti-science" because a disturbing fraction of them are Creationists, what does it say about Democrats who are only *slightly* less Creationist, *and* seem to support a complete revision of the concept of math?

I have to wonder how close she really was with her son. They obviously had major differences on military issues-especially in light of the fact that he served not just once but actually re-enlisted. I am not doubting her grief I am just wondering how much in sync this woman was with her 24 year old son who knew the dangers yet re-enlisted anyway. If they were not that close it would be really hypocritical of her to be using him to further her political cause and the political cause of those she is associating with.

I agree that the moonbats have lost it, but this sort of activity and hyperbole (not to mention the outright medacity) is the norm here in New England. These people try to win through intimidation.

I may go to Brunswick to hold a sign: I honor Specialist Shehan but wish is crackpot mother would shut up.

It's all the same five people. They just have a lot of group names so it seems like more people agree with their stupid views.

15 minutes and $200.00 and I could set up the activist non-profit corporation of your choice.
