The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

Okay, I have a question about the crosses. Isn't it the left that says we can't remember the military with crosses? I mean, what if some of those heroes were Jewish? Have the activists been hoisted on their own pertard?

She said she was a freeper when she arrived. Maybe she'll give you a call? She is my wife and a lurker. Were I you, Tune, I wouldn't expect a call so your 25th shouldn't be disrupted. :-)

Blue Bell--the best ice cream in the world!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, it's very good, for commercially mass produced ice cream.
However, the University of Nebraska, ,and I suspect other schools with Ag colleges, as part of their dairy program, had a milk, cheese and ice cream shop on what used to be called "Ag Campus", but with the moves of the Law and Dental Schools "out there" (actually my home was about twice as far "out" as that, and still in town) it has come to be called "East Campus". Anyway, that was some of THE best ice cream I've ever had. Including the "custom" places like Marble Slab Creamery and the like. I'm sure other Ag Colleges have similar dairy shops with similarly great ice cream.

Would the mainstream media report on this disgraceful misuse of the sad deaths of our American Heroes by anti-American activists? My wife made an intreresting observation. Sheehan hasn't paid taxes since 1996, so she has not been financially supporting the military since then. While her son was in the military she was withholding her support but now wants us to pity her for his lose.

I thought about standing out at the road where they were all driving by
I was sure to be mugged. ) Not with the rest of us around you weren't. Besides, there was a SAS sign, a very large sign, on one of the cars in our area. The moonbats probably figured we were all armed to the teeth ... and they might not have been too far wrong.

Umm, could you please edit out the vulgarities when you post from DU? so in other words, just don't post from there. I am typically amused at the Koolaid drinkers posting on DU. Vulgarity is an excellent substitute for reasoned argument don't you know. Most of the threads are mind numbing. Idiotic Upside down avatars (but they don't hate america) and one word Kool Aid influenced responses. With DU, who needs comedy channel

That lady sounds awesome!! Oh she is, very awesome.

MNR: For the record I just referred to your wife as an "outstanding American" (typo corrected) and that I hoped we'd signed her up as a FReeper - through no fault of her own she distracts from the pic of Doc Raoul. All's well here in Florida and I'm not expecting any calls - that was TXBubba getting me in trouble! ;-)
No offense was intended - if she's 1/2 as nice as she looks you should count your blessings and go on to other things - and "give me three steps towards the door!".
Thanks to you and yours for getting out there to support our President, our troops and America! :-)

You were a perfect freeper, meaning a perfect gentleman, so you have nothing to backtrack from. When I told her about the exchange she said, "You mean I have a fan?" However, you are right that TXBubba should be blamed. We were around her frequently and she should have known, unless she made the mistake of others, including our neighbor, and thought I was her father. Ill forgive her.
