Ex-President Carter's grandson sentenced

FAYETTEVILLE, Georgia (AP) -- A teenage grandson of former President Jimmy Carter was sentenced Friday to 30 days of house arrest and 36 months probation as part of a plea agreement involving the theft of a videogame console.
Jeremy Carter, 18, of Peachtree City, Georgia, was arrested in December after being caught inside the home of a former friend. Police said they found less than an ounce of marijuana in his shoe and smelled alcohol on his breath.
The victim did not want Carter to go to jail, which District Attorney Scott Ballard said "considerably" affected the outcome of the case.
Carter's burglary charge was reduced and he pleaded guilty to theft by taking, a misdemeanor.

I thought Amy (sp) was the only child of the Carters.
I do remember Jimmmahs drunken brother, as I watched him on TV during the Democraps convention in 76.

If it were someone in the Bush family, it would be front-page news, with over-the-fold headlines, for weeks on end. Snakehead Carville would be popping veins on CNN. Oh, wait, I forget, there's NO media bias!

Carter is the son of Annette and Jeff Carter, Jimmy Carter's youngest son. I don't recall ever hearing of Jeff Carter. The only child of his I recall is Amy.

Yep, if Jenna or Barbara did the same thing you would never hear the end of it. And if we complained that Jimmy Carter's grandson did the same thing with little coverage they would explain that the difference was not bias but the fact that one was a child and one a grandchild.
They always find the minutest of details to distinguish like situations to show there is no media bias. It drives me crazy.
