"What, Jimmuh waited for son #2 before passing on the "James Earl"?
A lot of people do that, I think you'll find. My own second brother was named for our dad; and with my cousins it's the same. My older brother (he wasn't older than me, my first child ego forces me to note!) wasn't named for any one, my older male cousin was named for somebody, I'm not sure, his grandfather maybe.
I think the Carter's had at least two sons, and possibly three. Amy was the only daughter and the youngest of the children.
what's all the hubbub? He's demonstrating the natural talent for lifelong politics. He'll go far.
guilty to "theft by taking" as opposed to all the ways of executing theft...
Amy was the kid the Carters still had living at home when they were in the white house. She was a late in life kid. All his others, all boys were married and on their own.
Becky
I thought Jimmah only had a daughter Amy,,,,
Did Amy breed?
Someone should do some research on what the three Carter boys were up to at the time of his Presidency. Just to see HOW biased the press was. Cause, it looks like pretty much no one even knew about them.
No. The Carters have four children. Amy was just the only one who lived in the White House.
The President James Earl Carter, Jr. Family:
John William "Jack", b. July 3, 1947 in Portsmouth, VA.
James Earl III "Chip", b. April 12, 1950 in Honolulu, HI.
Donnel Jeffrey "Jeff", b. August 18, 1952 in New London, CT.
Amy Lynn, b. October 19, 1967 in Plains, GA
Each kid in a different state. Must be the Navy thing, hmmm?
Must be -- their youngest and oldest are slightly more than 20 years apart -- makes me tired thinking about it. Although my youngest and oldest are almost that far apart. No wonder I'm tired. LOL
