The Walken Platform
These are the issues that need solutions now, and Christopher Walken is not afraid to address them. He wants his supporters and opponents to know that he is clear in his ideals and will fight to lead America to a better place.
Campaign Finance Reform:
"I believe that campaign finance is a very tough issue, with good points on both sides; but I feel, as a wealthy american, that I should have no more say than even the least fortunate American citizen. That is why I am for campaign finance reform."
Military Funding:
"I am a huge supporter of the military. I have always thought of them as our guardians, and when our guardians are making less than the poverty line, and children are suffering because their parents decided to join the military, well, I get very upset. I feel that instead of sending billions to the Pentagon's pet projects, it should go to the troops."
Stem Cell Research:
"I'd met Chris Reeve several times before he died, and after having met him it is tough to be against it [stem cell research]. I am for human knowledge and expansion of human life. If stem cells are one way to do that, I need to be a good friend of stem cells."
We appreciate the great response you've sent us, interested in more information about Christopher Walken's policies and platform. Please have patience as he puts his ideas into words, and as soon as they're available, we'll put them here. Thank you for your support.

I'm rich. That's hot...
BBUUUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
The only "civilization" that France ever built was it's own and that resulted in a country that surrenders so fast that it makes your eyes spin.
If I were you I would be very, very embarrassed to admit openly you are French. Better to say you are Bangladeshi or something.
We bought the "Best of Walken" DVD for the Colonel Angus skit and the Cowbell skit. Hilarious.
"....miss Natalie Wood"
She was more than special, she was beutiful, georgous, sexy! I could go on....
But you want to know what really scares me?
Marsupials
I have the same reaction to anchovies on my pizza pie!
Well, the most impressive civilization I would say we French built was...England...1066 and all that.
If this were true, it would be interesting...
Assuming this were truth which I believe is not the case, just by reading the platitudes given as the solution of certain issues like:
He's for campaign finance reform because the rich and the poor should have something to say.Or, he's for stem cell research because he met Christopher Reeve a few times before he died.
LOL!! Although, in all honesty, there are a bunch of politicians out there who speak in platitudes and generalities.
Perhaps someone is trying to get some feedback, or some kind of polling -if you will- regarding the response Walken gets.
Running for President requires political experience. Before becoming President, Reagan was governor of California for eight years, and before that, he was president of the Screen Actors Guild.
Walken is a great actor, though. I always enjoy his movies.
I meant interesting as in watching John Kerry go on a duck hunt - good for a few laughs.
I agree that this is a joke. For one thing, there are no directions or instructions on how to donate cash or volunteer for his campaign. Seriously, what person running for office doesn't ask for donations? I find the general "platform" to be truncated and confused.
The first thing I noticed was the absence of Party affiliation... is he running as a Democrat, Republican, or just as an Independent? Then the solutions were silly, it looked like a joke to me.
I think that it is a tie-in to some film project.
Oh, I see.
Great actor...funny man...see, he made you laugh, didn't he?
It is just a suspicion that I have. I have a suspicion that it is like those goofy ads for car products that are tied-in to ads for the Mini Cooper.
Yes, you could be right.
Well, we don't know if he did it, or someone else. Anyway, it was funny.
Well, it is Walken. He may have rolled out of bed one morning and said, "Ya know, I feel like floating a political campaign, just for giggles."

ELECTION 2008
Christopher Walken
for president?
Actor running low-key campaign,
says 'official website'

Is this a scary thought?
President Christopher Walken.
Christopher Walken |
According to the "official campaign website," the actor known for psychologically damaged characters in "The Deer Hunter," "The Dead Zone" and dozens of other movies going back to Woody Allen's "Annie Hall," is off and running for the White House.
According to a press release posted on the website this week, the 62-year-old New Yorker has laid out a few positions, but doesn't plan any active campaigning until he completes some acting obligations.
"Mr. Walken has greatly admired the celebrities who have entered politics and he wants to be able to give a good name and reputation to the acting community as well as the political community," his agent Toni Howard is quoted as saying. "As for going national with this news, we have not made any plans for the immediate future."

What will be his platform?
"I believe that campaign finance is a very tough issue, with good points on both sides," Walken says. "But I feel, as a wealthy American, that I should have no more say than even the least fortunate American citizen. That is why I am for campaign finance reform."
Walken says he is a big supporter of the U.S. military and thinks more money should go to paying the troops.
On stem cell research: "I'd met Chris Reeve several times before he died, and after having met him it is tough to be against it [stem cell research]. I am for human knowledge and expansion of human life. If stem cells are one way to do that, I need to be a good friend of stem cells."
The website was created Wednesday and is registered to a Richard Strickland in Destin, Florida.
The big question, of course: Is "Walken for President" for real? According to one source, the entire campaign, including registration of multiple Web domain names, is an elaborate hoax being perpetrated by members of the General Mayhem forums, one of the largest message boards on the Internet.
"Our great country is in a terrible downward spiral," Walken is quoted as saying on the website. "We're losing jobs, losing benefits, and losing lives. We need to focus on what's important paying attention to our children, our environment, our future. We need to think about improving our underbudget educational system, making better use of our resources, and helping to build a stable, safe, and tolerant global society. It's time to be smart about our politics. It's time to get America back on track."
Well, we should find out sooner or later the truth about this, LOL
Hmmmm, some good old fashioned FR sleuthing may be in order...
