Today, I received a letter in the mail from an unfamiliar group, the CENTRA Financial Group, Inc. It came in your standard-size business envelope, with an official looking return address, etc. CENTRA is based out of Rochester, NY.
Normally, I would read it, junk it and go on with my life, but there's something special about this letter. It has a handful of seed-like granules of some sort inside. I don't know what they are, as I have not opened the package. This is not exactly the most comfortable situation to be in. Did anybody, or has anybody received a similar letter recently? What should I do? Who should I report it to? I thought the USPS was screening for these types of things.
CENTRA Financial Group, Inc.
Suite 1215, Midtown Tower
Rochester, NY 14603
Please note, I am not the type to alert the media every time something weird happens; this is just a little too sketchy.
Uggg... I posted in News/Activism. Can you slide it over to Bloggers/Personal?
Call 911. I am serious.
Dispose of it immediatly, and forget about it.
Nothing to worry yourself over. Taste the granules to be sure.

What state are you in? I just did a search and the site has a list of contacts in different states. Maybe you should contact them.
put the envelope DOWN! step away from the envelope. notify appropriate authorities immediately.
I would recommend putting it in a ziplock bag to minimize any potential hazard of contamination and bring it to your local police office and report it.
Better safe than sorry/dead.
FBI or local law enforcement.

.........dingleberries.......?
I received a strange letter as well. On the outside it said "You May Have Already One Million Dollars". Normally I would think it is fake, but I think it is real, it was from Ed McMahon!!! I mean he is a celebrity and he has enough money to pay the prize. HEEEEY OOOOOOOOOO!!! YES SIR!!
Did you read the note that was in the envelope. Maybe they were using it as a marketing tool saying something like, planting the seeds for your financial future?????
Dingle-Norwoodberries? What about them?
LOL! Seriously though, why would these nimrods sending ANYTHING strange like that in the mail in this day and age.
It's beyond stupid.
for authenticity...
"It's beyond stupid."
Well, their marketing tag line is 'Centra Financial, We're Beyond Stupid!'
