Keep up the good work, marmar. I have fond memories of my tour in Germany (I was at Hahn and Spangdahlem). My Group HQ was at Kleber Kaserne, so I spent a great deal of time in K-Town.

If your schedule permits, make a trip over to the Mosel River. I lived in a town called Traben-Trarbach. At this time of year, you can find several weinfests on the Rhine and Mosel Rivers every weekend.

I took so many trips up and down the Mosel, I still remember the better places after all these years.

Freepmail me if you want any ideas.

I can say that there is nothing better on a nice warm German day than enjoying eis while sitting in a cafe in Trier 100-200 yards from the Porta Nigra.

As for myself, I'll be working on 9/11, with plans to attend Mass at noon.

This is my third time over. I am not much of a drinker, but I did promise someone I would try a German beer. I might try a wine also. Thanks

I will be alive, for which I wish to thank our men and women in the military, the Bush Administration, the Defense Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and all the other people who work to keep my family and I safe.

No plans for this year, but last year was memorable. My teenagers marched with their high school band in the half-time show at Baylor U. There were probably 600+ musicians on the field, combining the colleges and many high school bands. When they fired up "America, the Beautiful" it brought tears to every eye. Two Olympic medalist ran Old Glory around the stadium. One to remember.

Happy anniversary

It's a rhetorical question!

rhetorical question NOUN:
A question to which no answer is expected, often used for rhetorical effect.

Just a heads up for those who can be there, sheesh;)

Looks like it will fall on a Sunday this year. My hope is to attend Divine Service with my family in the morning. At home we will probably watch a video related to the 9/11 attacks on the people of the United States of America (we do not have TV or cable).

Ravens Stadium..Season opener, night game with a very strac Marine Honor guard from D.C and a tankbuster flyover while
"I'm proud to be an American" blasts out of the stadium speakers and close to 70,000 fans stand, men uncovered, and pay their respects.
