FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY! Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET
The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.
The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:
Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð Cherie
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Guess who's missing? Her parents? I wonder if they are responsible for the childhood indroctrination of the leftist philosophy into this wasted piece of human excretement?
I just heard Charles from the IMUS show talk about Drudge reporting this
Today is kind of a blur to me. From running around from interview to interview, to getting a visit from Viggo Mortensen
Viggo Mortensen On The Big Screen In David Cronenbergs New Thriller
The 47-year-old actor Viggo Mortensen returns to the big screen with a brand new project, after his movie "Hidalgo" flopped at the box office.
Viggo Mortensen stars in "A History of Violence", David Cronenbergs latest thriller, which was a critical success at the Cannes Film Festival, and set for release in 10 markets on September 23 before expanding wide on September 30.
And they wonder why we don't go see their movies?
Good G*d, this woman should be institutionalized, placed on suicide watch and deprogrammed. I sense her becoming a martyr for her cause.
An interesting caller on Bill Bennett's show, a psychiatrist, said people like Cindy love the grievance and cannot let it go. It is different from grieving a loss. The grievance becomes their identity. (huge paraphrase)
She's both. She's a democrat.
OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We didn;t care about the Somali's at all. not a drop.
When we redeployed back to the states--our entire platoon burned everything that we weren;t bringing back, rather then give it to the sammies--I mean everything--bottles of sun-screen, skanky underwear, dusty hankerchiefs. If it might have had a value at all to them, we destroyed it.
At least in Haiti, a year later--we didn;t mind giving our leftover stuff to the Harrie's--they weren;t trying to kill us.
Casey Sheehan's grandparents would include Cindy's parents and/or her husband's parents.
Thanks. I checked replies to the post I responded to and there was nothing when I asked the question. I has read about a 100 by then. LOL
Thanks for the info.
WHAT???
I thought they were separated over her traitorous actions.
I thought another son wants to enlist in the military.
If what she is saying is true, the military should reject him.
We have always been on separate sides of the fence politically and I have not spoken to them since the elections when they supported the man who is responsible for Casey's death.
Iraqi's killed her son, not George Bush, maybe she should stop glorifying them as ' patriots and resistors?"
When Eli Pariser wanted to remind voters of Richard Clarke's bombshell allegation that the Bush administration ignored terrorism threats before 9/11 he called on his fellow MoveOn.org members.
The same Richard Clarke who claimed in his book, that he had destoryed all the mujadden camps in Bosnia?
You forgot the sneer quotes: She's not going to stop. She's a "celebrity".
And isn't that "special"? (LOL!)
Me also. Even before I went to Vietnam, a close high school friend that was two years older than me, who lived one block over in our neighborhood, a Marine, was killed in action.
I think we're losing this war. Winning tactically, losing strategically.
Those were my thoughts exactly. And what should it say to civilized society about the MSM that they exploit the mentally ill to further their own agenda of hate? I hope Ms. Sheehan gets the help she needs, gets out of the political spotlight, and welcomes the support of those who love her; her son would be mightily embarassed by this kind of behavior.
