FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY! Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET
The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.
The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:
Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð Cherie
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
Developing..
Thanks,Axel.
just using my initial skeptical eye on this one...hopefully it does ring true.
She does not have credibility speaking especially with Michael Moore in the background.
"I had my reservations"
Please check with the NCAA to see if it's okay to use that term in a public-pre-season-forum. :)
Excellent post!
This Cindy broad is a joke and the public knows it. The left is really getting desperate. It's great!
Yep, although not so "under the table"

Smooches has more credibility than Cindy.
hahaha, it got posted at DU in Latest Breaking News and was promptly deleted.
They should be parked right along side her at the Crawford Ranch
disputing every vile thing that comes out of her mouth.
Thanks for the information advance_copy. It's interesting that she states her husband left because he did not believe in her activities, but believes in all the same anti-war propoganda that she does.
It would be interesting to hear his take on it. But, I'm sure the MSM is not pursuing him as hard knowing that it may ruin their beautiful run with Cindy should he shed some light on different facts.
This disgusting man should not be using people's grief to further his own agenda.
I'm guessing between Rush and Drudge, it's been confirmed on the source.
Methinks he's caught between that proverbial rock and hard place....he disagrees with her, but unsure how to do so in public.
Just MHO.
Interestingly, this line appears in an AP story:
"Dozens of people have joined her and others have sent flowers and food. One activist called her the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement."
The canonization begins.
(I'm reminded of the Seinfeld episode: "Jerry you're like the Rosa Parks of comedians.")
Her "new" friends will drop her like a used Trojan if she dare revert to her original story about the GWB meeting.
