U.S. Colonel Accused Of Trashing Cars With Pro-Bush Stickers

DENVER -- An Air Force Reserve colonel may face criminal charges in a vandalism case. The officer, Alexis Fecteau, is accused of defacing cars at the Denver International Airport.

He allegedly blacked out pro-Bush bumper stickers on 10 vehicles, then spray painted an expletive and the president's name on the vehicle.

He is director of operations for reserve forces at the National Security Space Institute in Colorado Springs. Police set up a bait vehicle equipped with a camera that captured an image of the suspect and his car.

Police have referred the case to prosecutors, who are considering filing criminal charges.

Of all the instances of that strange creature (the military liberal) I have seen, the majority have been Air Force. Don't understand it, hard to see how someone can take the oath and even be a liberal, but they are out there.

The outcome of the proceedings should be interesting.

I don't get it. Why would a field grade officer piss on a citizen's right of free speech. Sorry to use that kind of language, but that's what that officer did. He violated his oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States as surely as if he was insubordinate to a superior officer, and he was field grade. This was something a dumb lieutenant is supposed to be stupid enough to do, but this guy was of a rank, iirc, to be able to chair a courts martial hearing.

I just don't get it.

I won't say who, it wasn't I, but they were at a meeting and all but one vehicle had Bush stickers on them and it had a Kerry tag. One guy said he couldn't believe that the guy was so stupid and proceeded to put a Bush sticker over the Kerry one. I often wondered how long it took for the guy to discover his new political views.
