Spencer to Pirro: Lets Discuss Your Liberal Record
BUFFALO, NY Today, Republican and Conservative Party candidate for the U.S. Senate John Spencer sent congratulatory flowers to Jeanine Pirro at her official launch press conference.
The note to Pirro, whose stance on social conservative issues is similar to Hillary Clinton, says, Jeanine, Congratulations on entering the U.S. Senate race. I look forward to discussing your liberal views. Sincerely, John Spencer.
Mr. Spencer, a Vietnam Veteran, plans to run on the Republican and Conservative party tickets and will officially announce his campaign in early September.
Mayor John Spencer, 58, served as Mayor of the City of Yonkers from 1996 until 2004. Yonkers is the fourth largest city in New York and saw great prosperity, redevelopment and environmental cleanup under the leadership of Mayor Spencer.

Pirro is creature of that moderate GOP, which you believes would crawl up and die. You don't know her and you don't YET know of Spencer, but you soon will
Pirro is Lebonese. You should really take the time to learn a little bit of what you are talking about
You are right.
That was an unnecessarily harsh reply, seeing as I'm trying to keep an open mind about this primary. If Spencer can prove to me in the coming months that he has the rocks to take down Hillary! and be aggressive until Election Day 2006, then I will look into supporting him.
Male Bovine Fecal Effluvia.
Sending flowers is NOT sexist.
:Smacks head:
Yes, she is, but her last name is Italian, as she married one. Most people aren't going to do the research themselves.
What....do you work for Spencer or something????
I have relatives and friends in Manhattan and Westchester County. They are not particularly fond of hillary, but they all vote on the abortion rights issue. They voted for hillary last time, just because of that. Pirro has the same position hillary does (and maybe even stronger since hillary is trying to move right for her Presidential campaign).
Pirro is the right candidate for the GOP if the point is to derail her Presidential ambitions, I think.
And Pirro's big weakness as a candidate is her husband. Not a big problem in this match-up. :-)
I don't think he was sending the flowers to be a gentleman. I think it was essentially a little barb. My opinion.

Make the beeyotch spend the money. Make her go on the record.
That would be great in and of itself.
And if Madame Pirro can be elected, all the better.
Yeah, the mayor of the 4th largest city in New York is "unelectable", but an obscure RINO district attorney currently 40 POINTS BEHIND IN THE POLLS is the "only" person who can "beat" Hillary, cuz umm, her supporters say so...
By any chance you Pirro people know the Dems who gloating Bill McBride would "crush" Jeb and Waffle boy from Mass. must be nominated because "only he" would "stop Dubya"? You guys should have a meetup and discuss your electoral successes.
Talk about spamming the forum.
So Mayor Spencer and Ed Cox would "curl up into a ball and die", eh? What evidence do you have to support this? Many words come to mind to describe Cox and Spencer but the word WIMP doesn't seem to fit either of them. Have you read about ANY candidates BESIDES Pirro?
So far the only ones who can't stand the heat are the Pirro supporters who think their little RINO should be annointed in the primary and not have to answer for her liberal record because she can magically come out of nowhere and "beat Hillary"
I guess the Pirro groupies want us to think she can go toe to toe with Hilderbeast in a debate on her "record", but neverthless has to be handlied with kids gloves in the primary and not have to be battle tested against a mean ol' polished elected official like John Spencer...poor widdle Jeanie.
Find me where I referred to Cox and Spencer by name. As a New Yorker, I have seen this party crap out time and time again. For Pirro, it seems to me that when the going gets tough, she won't shy away. A good quality? Yes. Is it a quality that I think the other candidates lack? I don't know, you tell me.
This isn't the first time I've had this discussion today. People think that because I'm finding Pirro's good qualities (and yes, she has bad ones, too), that automatically means that I despise the other candidates. Not so.
Have you read about ANY candidates BESIDES Pirro?
Plenty of time for that, now isn't there?

If you're implying that I'm a "Pirro groupie", you're mistaken. If you'd care to go back and check what I've said previously, I said I'm leaning towards supporting her because I like her tough attitude but that if Spencer (or Cox, for that matter) can prove to me that they can be formidable challengers to Hillary, then by all means, I will consider supporting them.
stop reading these threads then
