A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What if it were really true? What if you woke up one day and money really were no object? How would you change your life? Would your life change? Would it be better? Worse? Can money really buy happiness?
Let's *play like* today (and tomorrow) we can have absolutely anything in the world that money can buy. Money's no object. What would you buy? Pretend we've already saved the world with our vast wealth, and now we're ready to spend it foolishly and selfishly. :)

Would you buy a bigger house?

Vacation around the world
You have a summer home, a winter home, a beach house, a bungalow in the mountains.... You travel to exotic, faraway places and stay in nothing but 5 star hotels and resorts.
AND...of course, only the best tables... in the very finest restaurants will do.

Oh, I agonized. What would I do with all that money? I finally decided to buy peanuts. I would have peanuts in the basement, peanuts in the living room, peanuts in the dining room, peanuts in the kitchen, peanuts in the powder room, peanuts in the bedrooms, peanuts in the attic. I'd have peanuts up the....; Oh well I'd have a lot of peanuts.

Fantastic thread!! You did great!!Thank you, CW. Glad you like it. :)
And, as I have been busy lately, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the welcome you gave my dearest Hushpuppie and myself to your forum.
Really happy to have you both here - had been a little concerned you haven't posted another table in a while - I didn't mean to hit you *that* hard with my ruler. LOL
Note to Hushpuppie...We are just pretending that Money is NO Object!
LOL! Well, Play Money can buy a lot of hotels and boardwalks and stuff. :)

I want to add a car for my brother, Michael.
Yesterday was his birthday .... he was nine.
I think he also wants a new Playstation game and a new bicycle. And probably some more Lincoln Logs. :)

Yes you could have a wrap around porch..
When I built this one it was $250. a square foot.
About $250,000 alot of money but it would last your lifetime and your kids life with the grand children..

OK, if money is no object, I would want to be the Prime Minister of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick,
a tiny European nation that "lies in a precipitous fold of the northern Alps." It was founded in 1370
by a British soldier of fortune Roger Fenwick, under not altogether honorable circumstances:

I'd probably be hermitting in my adobe and log cabin which would be sitting alongside a stream that runs down from the Rockies ... hooked up to broadband via satellite ... and tending my horses, donkeys, cows, dogs and cats ... and maybe having an occasional afternoon nap on the porch as I listen to the wind rustle through the tall trees. There are pictures, and there are words that paint them just as clearly as if we were looking at one. You always paint such vivid pictures with your folksy words. :)
A fine and elegant thread, Miss Billie ... I love the look of it ... and the wishful idea, too ... thank you ... )
There you go again - making me all smiley-faced again. :)
