A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What if it were really true? What if you woke up one day and money really were no object? How would you change your life? Would your life change? Would it be better? Worse? Can money really buy happiness?
Let's *play like* today (and tomorrow) we can have absolutely anything in the world that money can buy. Money's no object. What would you buy? Pretend we've already saved the world with our vast wealth, and now we're ready to spend it foolishly and selfishly. :)

Vacation around the world
You have a summer home, a winter home, a beach house, a bungalow in the mountains.... You travel to exotic, faraway places and stay in nothing but 5 star hotels and resorts.
AND...of course, only the best tables... in the very finest restaurants will do.

Looks like we're both ready. You can name the "spot". AhhhhhhRooooo!! What a snappy-looking couple we are - I'm sure any club anywhere would usher us to the best table in the house and just think you were growing your beard (all over your face) for a part in a movie or something. :)

It's hard work spending so much money you don't have to worry 'bout ever running out!! Gotta git in shape for that! [grin!] I'm training just as fast as I can - Tiffany's on Rodeo Drive today - picked up a few little baubles - then Gucci's, lunch at the club, then we stopped to test-drive a new Hummer. I think HP wants a maroon one this time.
Oh, and she only bought 4 new outfits and 6 pairs of shoes.

"...meaning two of the most high-profile homosexual entertainers in America are playing a straight married couple. Jewish and gay groups reacted positively to the casting. ..." Meanwhile it has been established that every production coming out of Hollywood will have a specified number of openly gay individuals. This has become known as the "cast-ration" and everyone in Hollywood is welcoming it with open arms...

I think Miss Maggie has jus the right idea what to do with all that limitless bread ... where do I sign up?
When not along for the ride, I'd probably be hermitting in my adobe and log cabin which would be sitting alongside a stream that runs down from the Rockies ... hooked up to broadband via satellite ... and tending my horses, donkeys, cows, dogs and cats ... and maybe having an occasional afternoon nap on the porch as I listen to the wind rustle through the tall trees.
A fine and elegant thread, Miss Billie ... I love the look of it ... and the wishful idea, too ... thank you ... )

If I woke up and was very rich, oh...there are so many things I would do :-) Of course, I would donate to wonderful, needy causes. Give lots of money to my family and friends. I would buy the house I grew up in. Buy a beach house in the south, buy a house in the Adirondacks, buy a place in Manhattan with a lovely view. I would have those pretty white shutters on all my windows, a built-in pool at every house, LOL. I would buy a Hummer, a Cadillac, and a vintage VW bug...always wanted one to just toodle around town. My pup, Lucy would have canine friends to play with, no need to worry about those high cost vet bills and they would have lots of room to romp. I would donate a large sum to help The Mayor get into office. I would run for Senator against Hillary Clinton, and I would win :-) I would go to Myrtle Beach, take my family, friends and Freeper friends for a fun vacation, yep...Myrtle Beach :-)
I would be as happy as I am now, just richer.
P.S. Billie, how did you get a photo of my house ;-)
Hmmm, sounds good...maybe I will play lotto this week

Agreed. "Fiddler" was a terrific show, but their tampering doesn't seem to be paying off. Rosie as Golde? Give me a bas mitzvah!

If I woke up and were fantasticly wealthy, I would be torn which way to go. Should I buy a million dollars worth of peanuts or should I use it all to buy celery?
I think I'll just keep spending my pittance on bird seed. They really seem grateful. The birds that is.
