McCain for President? Vote in This Urgent Poll.

This poll by NewsMax.com is up now. Ask for your preference for John McCain, Condi Rice, Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and George Allen for the ‘08 Presidential run. Also asks, “If the 2008 President race was between John McCain & Hillary Clinton, who would you vote for?”

If I have to pick from this sorry lot, I’d swallow hard and pick Mitt Romney.

George Allen....probably the best choice on there....

maybe Rice for VP...

but I would LOVE to see Allen pick up JC Watts as his running mate....

Voting requires giving your email address and automatic subscription to their materials. I'll pass, thank you.

I went to the page and got three pop-up windows with ads. After I voted I was taken to another page of stuff that Newsmax is trying to sell.

Are you getting a commission for this?

Warning: I understand that as a voter in this poll I
will be signed up for FREE breaking news alerts.

And in that "choice" between the Witch and Queeg, they
really needed to have a
(_) Libertarian
option. They might be surprised at how many votes it
gets if the choice is those two evils.

Ugh. I'm with you on that one. Holding my nose and picking Romney in that poll but everyone on that list is a 2nd tier option for me. Is it so much to ask that we get a fresh-faced saavy conservative governor from a swing state and not another D.C. insider?

High Libertarian vote or not, most of those GOP choices vs. Hillary Clinton would end with a victory for Clinton. Republicans are less inclined to follow the straight party line as Democrats. Republicans will stay home or vote third-party, as opposed to most Democrats who will still vote for the Democratic nominee, regardless of whether or not they support them in the primary.

Of course, the exception to this is if Nader runs. He has a way with the greeners in the Dim party, whether he runs Green, Consumer, Independent, whatever.

I don't like McCain but if the choice was Hillary or McCain, I'd vote for McCain in a second. If the choice was the anti-christ and Hillary........ oh wait....... that would never happen. LOL

After I voted I was taken to another page of stuff that Newsmax is trying to sell.

A couple of years ago I ordered a hat and t-shirt from Newsmax. I was given, as a bonus, a years subscription to their monthly Newsmax magazine. Not that I placed the order for that reason but if they want to give it to me free of charge ... OK. Anyway, approximately a year later I see a charge on my credit card billing statement (the same one I used on the original order) renewing my Newsmax subscription for a year only this time they're charging me. At no time did I authorize the charge so I promptly called them and cancelled demanding a refund ... which they did.
So be cautious with Newsmax ... they're a tad sleazy in the way they do business.
