The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

The first link above, is all movies/zips, a thread full of them. the ii7.com link says no server.

I don't know what is here as my computer does not do zips and movies.

what caught my eye, was that a couple links had words in the url that were english, "newest" which I read as ne west, it is in the green at the bottom of the Google paragraph.

Yes, I know that i am 2 days behind the group on reading the thread, so it is ok to disregard this post.

Suspected Of Plotting To Use Slam Boat With Explosives Into Cruise Ship

Aug 11, 2005 12:16 pm US/Eastern ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) A Syrian believed linked to al Qaeda was taken before a Turkish court Thursday on suspicion he was plotting to slam a speedboat packed with a ton of explosives into cruise ships carrying Israeli tourists.

Turkish police were frantically searching for other suspects linked to the man, who had undergone plastic surgery apparently to help conceal his identity. Authorities were also hunting for two squads of possible suicide bombers, reports said.

Meanwhile, Israel lifted a travel warning against visiting southern Turkey that was in place because the apparent al Qaeda threat was against Israeli tourists.

A statement from Israel's counterterrorism center said that due to efforts from Turkey's security forces, the threat level had dropped.

Defense lawyer Osman Karahan said his client, who was identified in the Turkish press as Lu'ai Sakra, was found with 1,650 pounds of explosives.

"He was planning to hit Israeli ships in international waters with these explosives," CNN-Turk quoted Karahan as saying. Sakra shouted that he had no regrets after he was led handcuffed by police into the courthouse.

"I was going to attack Israeli ships," he said. And then in an ominous threat, he added: "If they come, my friends will attack them."

Thank you kindly....its seems that what's old is new again. There is such a wealth of knowledge and info. on the TM threads. It is just difficult to remember a timeframe for certain clues that we find....and then trying to backtrack to retrieve that info.

They've done a good job of capitalizing on the left and the media's
anti-war, anti-Bush spin, and they'll probably want to use that
momentum, so I don't see them waiting until a new president has
come in. It may be that we see a "softening up" in the PR department
first, with some carefully timed articles designed to drive a wedge into
the population, and between the U.S. and the rest of the world - even
more so than exists today.

I would say, look for a media blitz raining blame on Bush and his
policies in advance for whatever happens to us.<<<<

Take a good look at the posts in this thread, it says just what you said to expect.

Has anyone else notice an increase in incidents closing entire roads? I'm not talking about standard accidents, but crazy stuff like the Spanish Fork explosion. Just yesterday a stretch of I-64 was jammed up when a dumptruck with its dumper open smacked an overhead sign and brought it down across the roadway. It closed I-64 Eastbound in Norfolk for several hours.
