The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

If the Army does indeed raise the enlistment age to 42 that point will be moot for me because I'll be heading to the front lines to get some payback. Will be giving my info to the recruiter this weekend.

Hanging in here! Adopted a 26 1/2 pound cat from a local shelter- pure black- a true sweetie. He has cheered my dad up enormously....Lots of purring and kitty loves belly rubs....

A local cat adoption center had just passed through-picking out the cats they thought were adoptable and taking them to their facility. They left my kitty (6 yrs old) behind. The only other person interested in my kitty was a kid who wanted to make him even more obese, cause it was "cool".

We are working closely with the vet to help kitty lose weight. It has to be done very gradually. Apparently, if an obese cat stops eating even for 2 days, it can severely damage the liver (all that fat pouring into the organ) and kill the feline. So we are monitoring him very carefully.\

Sorry for the lengthy OT! I am just so thrilled to have this sweetie and to see my Dad loving him as well...gives dad big purrs and rubs when dad comes home from dialysis....

Son read/heard somewhere (I know this sounds crazy) that nukes were concealed inside soda machines and inside refrigerators in the like,within the usual packing for such items. Difference being, the fridges and soda machines were lined with lead. These had already been transported to their locations some time ago.

These were only some of the nukes present in our country as we speak. Recall that jihadi image of the US after attack, with east coast (and other) cities carved out? I believe that is what they are aiming for. Also, the area of Valdez, Alaska (posted yesterday by Granny) where the tankers are filled with oil----I believae this area was also depicted on the jihadi map.

If they would fingerprint everyone going into the Verizon store in my town who is wearing a size triple x shirt and shorts, driving a new SUV and wearing $300 sneakers, the State Police would be able to arrest half of the bums who have warrants out on them in NY and NJ.

I expect to see the Tennessee copkillers in my town any day now. The place has become a magnet for trash.

TAMPA - The same day a 20-year-old American and seven Israelis were killed in a terrorist attack, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad faxed a ``cheerful'' announcement to Tampa, according to evidence presented Wednesday morning in the trial of Sami Al-Arian.
``The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine announces the death of its martyr hero Khaled Al-Khatib, hero of the martyrdom operation of Kfar Darom,'' the announcement said. ``The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, while cheerfully announcing the news of the martyrdom of its righteous son, the Mujahid Khaled Al- Khatib, warns the occupying authority against harming our people and carrying out any retribution against our kinsmen in retaliation to the jihad operations.''

The announcement was faxed from Islamic Jihad headquarters in Damascus, Syria, to the home of Ramadan Shallah, who was then working at Al- Arian's think tank, the World and Islam Studies Enterprise. Shallah then faxed the announcement to the think tank's offices, according to an FBI witness.

They've done a good job of capitalizing on the left and the media's anti-war, anti-Bush spin, and they'll probably want to use that momentum, so I don't see them waiting until a new president has come in. It may be that we see a "softening up" in the PR department first, with some carefully timed articles designed to drive a wedge into the population, and between the U.S. and the rest of the world - even more so than exists today.

I would say, look for a media blitz raining blame on Bush and his policies in advance for whatever happens to us.
