Wow that article says US Scientists. Wonder why the China paper he read had the French as developing it?
"Wish I could clip the wings of the wild turkeys around here. They keep flying up onto my deck and pooping all
over."
Haven't seen one here since I answered the gobblegobble with yumyum.
So the monkey pox exposure was in 2003 and they report on it 8/8/05...as interesting as the report that says we now have an avian flu vaccine that works (so why are they still dropping like flies in SE Asia?)
Panic quellers are starting their drumroll.
There is a lot of good information here:

And here:
Loved the movie Outbreak. Do you recall what the solution was to erase the virus in danger of wiping out the nation? It was to firebomb the unfortunate town and it's unlucky citizens. THAT may well be in our futures as well!

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A major identity theft ring has been discovered that affects up to 50 banks, according to Sunbelt Software, the security company that says it uncovered the operation.
The operation, which is being investigated by the FBI, is gathering personal data from "thousands of machines" using keystroke-logging software, Sunbelt said Monday. The data collected includes credit card details, Social Security numbers, usernames, passwords, instant-messaging chat sessions and search terms. Some of that data is then saved in a file hosted on a U.S.-based server that has an offshore-registered domain, according to Sunbelt.
In the two days that Sunbelt has been monitoring the file, the company has seen confidential financial details of customers of up to 50 international banks, said Eric Sites, vice president of research and development at the Clearwater, Fla.-based security software maker."
Well, what can you say.

Radio news, there is a standoff with the police in or near Denver, now in 4th hour or more.
It is believed to be the shooter of a name that sounds like
Shane, but is not that spelling, he is an Israeli musician and was shot in the head last night after a concert he gave in the Denver area. He is expected to recover.
The first reports last night said possible car jacking.
The man who is holding off the police is named something that sounds like: Josepf Yassim.
You're welcome Cindy.
As I read the article, it stated the US tested the vaccine. The French possibly could have developed it...?

Radio Free Afghanistan
News reports:
Riot at U.S. Base by protestors.
July tape from Omar to prove he is still alive.
Russia still issues warnings to the U.S. to leave the area,
we are not to be in Afghanistan.
In the Denver stand off, which is still going on, there are over 2 blocks under lockdown.
The Israeli man who was shot in the head is named Mark Cohen.
yes, an hour ago, the name given was Shane. Not even close.
the shooter is in a home and not giving up.
Seems like every night on AM radio I am hearing talk of no borders from Canada to Mexico and all points in between. Tonight there was discussion of Denver's turning several libraries to accomodate Spanish and putting English in the back room.
Thanks for the link granny.

SNIP:Al-Qaeda magazine published openly in Turkey -- idolizes bin Laden
The weekly political magazine Tempo and some major Turkish daily newspapers such as Milliyet, Aksam and Cumhuriyet have reported that the Islamist Turkish terrorist organization "Great East Islamic Raiders Front" ( IBDA-C)(2) began publishing a new weekly magazine named 'Kaide,' which openly praises Al-Qaida and idolizes Osama bin Laden. The Kaide magazine, which looks like an Al-Qaida bulletin and publishes all their announcements, is published legally in Istanbul and is sold in all the newsstands in Turkey. "May Allah Protect Bin Laden from the Evil of His Enemies" The weekly Turkish magazine Tempo conducted an interview with [Ali Osman Zor], an executive of the new IBDA-C magazine Kaide, in their offices in Kasimpasa, Istanbul. Following are excerpts:(3)
"[...] Even the plain fact that Al-Qaida has an office in Kasimpasa, in the middle of Istanbul, where they publish this [Kaide] magazine, is frightening. Despite the publishers' claim that they only have 'emotional ties' with Al Qaeda, the entire Kaide magazine is prepared like an Al-Qaida bulletin. On the London attacks their headline reads: 'Al-Qaida is freeing the World' and many pages are dedicated to the statements by Al-Qaida. The Kaide magazine boasts of the beheadings in Afghanistan and Iraq by saying 'the jihad fighters continue to behead!' and all its pages are filled with frightening statements and threats. Kaide also displays the ties between IBDA-C [...] and Al Qaeda...
We pray for all those who fight for Islam's world domination. Bin Laden is a heroic fighter of Islam. Like many Muslims we are proud of him. Bin Laden expresses the accumulated anger felt by Muslims for centuries against the 'infidel'. We believe that bin Laden, like our commander Mirzabeyoglu and our soul-mate Carlos the Jackal5, is one of the architects of the new world that will be built following Islam's victory. May Allah protect bin Laden from the evil of his enemies.
