Roadside bomb in western Iraq.
MSM will have something to report on..........
My prayers go out to all those families that have lost a loved one.
PS: Can't we leave the politics aside? No one wants our boys dead
Oh no...14. God rest their souls and bring comfort to these brave men's families.
"They gave all that our country could ask of them, and their service honors us all. Rest in peace."
Indeed...
I wish I could say more, but I can say that the good guys have gotten very aggressive out at the western border.
They should probably have done it sooner, but it's been very, very active lately and there's more coming from the good guys.
one TV report, on the death of 6 snipers this week, said, "It is possible that like another attack that killed four Marines, this was an inside job." Hackett, who lost the Congressional race yesterday wanted GIs and Iraqi working together - the idea sound great until you see these stories and wonder what are the facts. Pray for these men.
so do I....first thing in my mailbox this morning...
May God be with them. I am humbled by their service for our country.
Sounds like this place needs to be pounded. No time to back down. God Bless the Marines.
Very, very sad. That must have been a huge bomb.
Prayers for our guys.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Fourteen Marines were killed in a roadside bomb blast in western Iraq on Wednesday, the U.S. military said, in one of the single deadliest attacks against U.S. forces since the beginning of the war.
The bomb exploded near a Marine amphibious assault vehicle as it was traveling south of Haditha, a town on the Euphrates river about 200 km (120 miles) northwest of Baghdad. A civilian translator was also killed. One Marine was wounded.

Imus: "God bless these brave souls."
I'm finding no other information anywhere.
section9 is right there is something in Haditha...they don't want us to find.
Yes, extremely sad. I also heard this morning that Stephen Vincent, a free-lance American journalist, was shot to death in Basra. He had been doing a series of blogs on the corruption and Talibanization of Basra.
The 6 Marines KIA yesterday the sniper teams were killed it looks like because there were bad guys in the Iraqi unit they were with..
Thank you. Just checked the main Yahoo page and they don't have it up.
Begala hasn't been on the Imus program for many months and now he's scheduled to be on during this half hour. No doubt he'll be extra smarmy.
"One dictator is better than many terrorists."
No, they'll soon be dead terrorists. Then what are you left with? Hmmmm....let me see, what's that word you are so scared of? Oh yeah, FREEDOM!!!

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Seven U.S. Marines were killed in two separate attacks west of Baghdad, where American forces are trying to seal a major infiltration route for foreign fighters, the military said. Their deaths pushed the U.S. military death toll in Iraq past 1,800.

Sounds like we need to do some serious regrouping.
