Is there anyone on this thread still worried about putting panties on terrorists heads? I'm ready for smoking holes from J-dams.

NO...Iraq is now a fly trap where thousands of terrorists are dying at our military's hands instead of coming to the US and other places to spread their hate and death.
<p.
In addition, a free Iraq IS going to be the ultimate results. Two birds with one stone, achieved by our all volunteer force who knows exactly what it is they are fighting for and what they stakes are.

The bravo sierra is not in them being there...but in those who would remove them. We have created a fly trap in Iraq. It is true that we are losing personnel, and this is horrifically tragic like it is in any war. But they volunteered and understand what the stakes are.

Thousands and thousands of terrorists are being drawn there to die. That means they are not coming here. Our soldiers understand this. As a bouns, a free Iraq is in the works which will further erode their influence. As of this date, despite our losses, the terrorists are having to resort to killing more Iraqis than they are Americans because even the terrorists understand the nature of the problem they face.

Not in their MTO&E, they are intended to be light and the amphibious assault vehicles are as close to Bradleys as they get (even the Army is going away from heavy units, with the new reorganization). 14 in one vehicle is too much of a target taking into account the tactics Haji is using.

"Those IEDs Kick Ass- The overpressure is astounding".

They're saying that in relation to this incident?? Those people are just sick. I'm not going to go over there because I always feel like I'm in some filthy looney bin when I do.

I experienced an IED close up last year. It was a controlled detonation and we were all stuck in "traffic" on Camp Victory waiting for them to do it before we could move.

"Kick-Ass" is not how I'd describe it.

We can't even secure our Southern border ...

I suspect that if the Mexicans were planting roadside bombs instead of picking strawberries, that would change in a hurry.

I find our policy just crazy. Our finest and best should not be dying for a police action. Marines are trained to wage war, not be cops.

This is exactly why this war was such a bullsh!t operation to begin with -- because it was inevitably going to end up in the kind of nation-building crap in a Third World sh!t-hole that this president was so strongly opposed to when he was a candidate in 2000.

Well, we started in Afghanistan and Iraq. I guess, you have to start somewhere...as long as you start!

You can not call yourself fighting or even condemning terrorists by sitting around on your duff scowling at their activities, deferring to Kofi what's his name, politicizing national security or preaching diversity to any one who has a more direct approach. This President had it right from the first and still does. I can only hope that his successor is will understand the absolute urgency of the struggle and the significances of the sacrafices made so far.

You can check on your democrat internet neighbors reactions here. #20 thinks "Those IEDs Kick Ass- The overpressure is astounding"

Knowing the DUmmies they are probably mad this tragedy perpetuated by the islamofascists didn't happen yesterday to influence the congressional special election.

The extreme left has an erection over this happening while Bush vacations at the ranch

President Bush isn't "vacationing" per se. He and his staff in Crawford are always in contact with major events and people.

Looks like you are drinking the MSM "vacation" kool-aid.

Amen and thank you for your kind words.

It is a tough strategy in a tough part of the world...but progress in Iraq towards their own free government continues...and in the process the fly trap is working and the terrorists are coming there and dying there by the thousands rather than spreading abroad elsewhere from their hell holes.

Allegra, these are people who would call you a money grubbing ho profiting off the blood and guts of our soliders who are there because economic cicumstances give them no other choice but to volunteer for a war that Bush and Cheney planned so they and their oil buddies could make a profit.

Sorry to be so blunt with it. There is no level of contempt to which these people will not stoop to blame Bush or "the wealthy", or anyone else for what is going on in Iraq--blame everyone but the terrorists (terrorists are patriots in the left's eyes, ala obese mentally defective Michael Moore)
