Yes, but allow me to add additional context - "less popular" refers to those sports that have fewer numbers in relation to other mens sports. It has nothing to do with being less or possibly even more popular than the largest womens sports at any given school. The result is that in spite of little or no interest, many and varied womens sports are offered to drive up the numbers, while various mens sports, regardless of interest level, are eliminated to "balance" the numbers. Basically, the guys get screwed because they are guys.
Is it possible for a Demonrat to speak without lying?
Apparently, no.
Given the choice of SPORT or Sex ed what do you think the Union liebs would VOTE for every time?
Like Bill Gates says: Our feel-good politically correct liberals(my term) have created a generation of kids with no concept ofreality, personal responsibility and are set up for failure. Democratic continue to think that government knows best.
How about instead of bitching about lack of money for phys ed programs in the schools, the parents get their kids up off the couch and outside for some exercise. You dont need a lot of equipment to stay fit. You just need to move. Sitting in front of the PC eating cookies is not the answer. Since when is it the governments responsiblity to get the little fatties moving.

I think it was the late (and missed by me) Jack Paar who made a comment years ago about how when he was a kid he got his exercise by walking 10 miles to school, but now, his daughter rides an expensive bus that transports her to a school where she uses an expensive gymnasium to exercise. I know I walked to school back and forth every day (and for some of those years I even came home for lunch). I think that's when the children's health began to decline -- when we had to bus them to and from school.
This is the kind of propaganda being pumped out of the Democratic National Committee daily -- to the local newspapers for further enrichment and enhancements by their fellow union accomplices. No matter what, the only intent and purpose is to bash the President -- and more often than not, it is to make a good story seem bad. The complicit and gullible dupes at the local newspapers actually fall for it and willingly go along, destroying whatever credibility and legitimacy the paper has built up over the years. The DNC is a poison that destroys and drags down all it comes in contact with. Who needs enemies when one has friends like that?
The myth in the story is that W owes his great condition to working out 6 days a week; one does not get an abnormally low pulse rate by working out -- you have to be born with it. It's because he was gifted with that constitution that allows him to function on a high level -- seemingly without trying very hard. With what he's been through, a lesser person would have cracked up under the stress -- like an Al Gore in just losing the presidency. With Bush, his attitude was, "if I lose, that's what's meant to be." Perceptive people could see that Gore became totally unglued -- thinking he had lost to an "inferior" opponent. But the fact is, W's extraordinary successes are not despite his abilities but because of them. He's a gifted person -- and as such, doesn't need to go around bragging about it -- like most of the mediocrities at the Democratic National Committee who will do anything for somebody else's approbation. They can't understand how somebody can be and operate so differently from them. They are average.
The reason most people are obese and out of shape is the misunderstanding of the circulatory process and the muscle's role in effecting it. The heart only affects the blood flow out to the extremities. What a person therefore needs to do, is to operate the muscles from the extremities so that it pushes the blood back to the heart -- to prevent blood and fluids from accumulating in the tissues of the body. In that manner, one optimizes circulation -- and respiration.
When this is not understood properly, it doesn't matter how much harder one makes the heart work because that's not the weakness in the circulatory system. It is the pumping of the blood back to the heart by the skeletal/voluntary muscles that can be designed expressly to do that -- without all the traditional distractions that most people find so objectionable in exercising. It's not because of the lack of effort; it is rather the lack of the proper understanding -- and that situation was brought about by the propagation of ignorance, misinformation and disinformation by the "so-called" experts in this field, in cooperation with the usual suspects in the media legitimizing the ignorance and misinformation so that the proper information could not get out.
Fitness in America is not due to the lack of effort but due to the lack of the proper understanding of the process. The least qualified people are the "certified" fitness professionals.
You mean like a televised version of Err America?
I remember through out much of my school days until I graduated from high school in 1964 I had to walk about a mile to school each day. It was a lot shorter distance than my parents had to walk 25 years earlier. Your right now, kids dont walk to school. Even if their parents wanted to they would be worried sick about what might happen to them these days.
He was notoriously overweight.
Nowadays, in most districts, you are not permitted to walk to school...you have to take the bus....too much fear of lawsuits if the little one gets hit by a car or something.
I had the option of taking the bus in my last couple of years of high school...I chose to walk. Friend of mine would always ride -- I got to school long before her bus did. :)
If my memory serves me correctly, there are only a couple of states that have any physical education requirements for school children. Illinois is one of them.
I think it's outrageous that the president works out. The Democrats should demand his resignation!
No problem.
That the democraps have sunk to such a new low only serves as evidence that the President is doing his job well.
