No, but Schmidt should win in a walk. It is interesting to note, I got a lot of mail from both candidates. But I don't live in the district, I live next door in John Boehner's district.

What's the potential for voter fraud in that district?

I see where The Cincinnati Enquirer endorsed Schmidt.... I don't know if that helps or hurts as I'm not a knowledgable of the Ohio political landscape.

The district voted 2-1 for GW but Hackett has been marketed well

I heard that it was a pretty close race and that the Dems could take this one. Is there any accuracy to that or is it simply more propaganda from the national media?

Impossible to say. I suspect that the media is once again engaging in wishful thinking.

While Hackett is a marine who served in Iraq he's also a pro-abort trial lawyer running in the most heavily GOP district (2 to 1) in Ohio.

Of course, with low turnout anything could happen.

My prediction is Schmidt wins with 60%, which is underperforming for this district.

At least Hackett would know what is going on in Iraq.

Very little, it is mostly the Eastern portion of Cincinnati, plus the eastern and northeastern suburbs, then streches out east into the appliation counties.

Wikpidea has the following in their article on the district/election:

Counties in the district are Adams, Brown, Clermont, Hamilton (part), Pike, Scioto (part) and Warren (part).

It included all of the the Warren County municipalities of Lebanon, South Lebanon, Loveland, Maineville, Morrow, Butlerville, and Pleasant Plain, and parts of the municipalities of Mason and Blanchester. All of Union, Hamilton, Harlan, Salem, and Washington Townships were in the district, as well as parts of Turtlecreek Township immediately adjacent to the city of Lebanon, and southern Deerfield Township.

The Hamilton County muncipalities of Sharonville, Blue Ash, Deer Park, Loveland, Madeira, Newtown, Terrace Park, and Indian Hill were in the district, along with eastern parts of Cincinnati. Anderson and Symmes Townships and part of Sycamore Township are also in the district.

Wishful thinking. The Democrat will probably do much better than Kerry or any other Democrat who has run in the district, and he'll still lose.
