"The most dangerous place in Washington is between Chuck Schumer and a camera" --- Bob Dole
Thank Deminsio for the data re the recess appointments.
Apparently the UN members care less. They know that Ambassado Bolton is GW's man.
Fly over Americans, moderates and most Americans could care less what the rats moan about.
Thanks! :-)
Tee Hee. Dubya doesn't fool around. I've already emailed my liberal cousin-in-law who has been DELUGING me with emails from lefty sites about how eeeee-vil Bolton is.
Thanks, Grampa..Context is good.
Well said!
"A great president sends a good man to the rotten UN."
DarnedRINOneocondivisiveglobalistimperialistwussinterestedinnothingbutlittlepoliceactionswon'tcontroltheborders....who carfes if he recess-appointed an ambassador to the UN?? Well, I DO.....and am STILL snickering!
The storm of hateful rhetoric that Democrats spew at the mention of Mr. John Bolton, comes not from Mr. Boltons inability to dominate the President's adversaries. Nor is it an inability to accomplish his task. It stems from a vengeance for the man who was instrumental in stopping the Bush/Gore Florida Vote Recount. It is not because he is not the best man for the job of UN Ambassador, it is because John Bolton bested the Democrats at their best game. The Democrat's best game? Stealing Elections.

WORKING `BY INSTINCT'
Diplomat says he received no assurance of a reward
by Carol Rosenberg, July 14, 2002
Bolton, the U.S. diplomat now responsible for arms control issues, said no payoff was promised for his decision to join the post-election fray. He had worked for the first Bush administration and, finding himself in South Korea on election night, contacted former Secretary of State James Baker in Texas to see how he might lend a hand. The reply: Go to Florida.
''I think, frankly, most of the people who did it just went down there by instinct,'' Bolton said. He said he received no legal fees, although the campaign paid his hotel bills and other expenses.
Bolton was part of the legal team and a ballot observer in Palm Beach County. Then he rushed to Tallahassee as the recount battle reached higher courts. It was his role, on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, to burst into a library where workers were recounting Miami-Dade ballots and relay news of the U.S. Supreme Court's stay in the on-again, off-again presidential recount.
''I'm with the Bush-Cheney team, and I'm here to stop the count,'' he was quoted as saying in news reports at the time.
The Florida fraternity included major figures in the Bush administration, notably Theodore Olson, the current solicitor general, who worked on the case in both Tallahassee and Miami, then argued candidate Bush's case before the U.S. Supreme Court, and Robert Zoellick, now the U.S. trade representative, who served as a virtual chief of staff to Baker, Bush's main Florida strategist.
Today, in California, well over 500 M-13 gang members were picked up and the illegals are being DEPORTED, after they and their pals have a nice stay in jail.
This was reported on WABC news, on the radio.
Thanks! :-)
Judge Roberts was there, too, you know. I predict by September the democrats will be in full hysteria.
Let's just hope the voters in his district remembers his flip-flop.
Someone posted on here earlier that Mom and Pop America don't even know what is going on..that this is "inside the beltway" stuff....
which may be true, but I guarantee that the Senators NEVER thought that they were so unrespected by the UN...LOLOLOL
This has been a good day :o)
Sure she was, which all Dems are ordered to push until 2007 when they openly push their SAVIOR:
Excellent!
They look up to the U.N. as a god. I heard one Dem actually state they HAD to praise Bolton because Bush gave them no choice by appointing him. LOL
SENATORS OF THE U.S. CONGRESS READ: The U.N. doesn't think you are worthy to shine their shoes. let alone give a damn if someone has your seal of approval. They only respect men that will kick their butts and make them cry for mercy. Bush did that. Bolton has done it. He'll do it again.
True, but I don't remember the Republican party making as big a fuss over it as they did Hormel -- even though the Lann Lee appointment was far more objectionable.
It's a shame that politicians in Washington are not taking their jobs seriously. Had there been a sincere, honest inspection of Amb. Bolton's record, and had he been found wanting in those skills necessary to be Amb to the UN, then they would have provided a great service to the nation.
If integrity ruled, then one could count on pronouncements of these men being something other than fluff and ego-mania. If integrity ruled, then the nation and the leadership would be able to say, if an appointee failed, "We tried to tell you." And mean it not as one-upmanship but mean it sincerely.
If integrity ruled our statesmen could be counted on to have the best interests of the nation at heart.
Instead, we have what we have. How the mighty have fallen! May God bless America.
