Many thanks to you guys for doing what your doing. If I were a an unemployed, left wing, commie, hippie, pinko instead of a hard working, patriotic, America loving, conservative I could be down there with you guys. Of course then you would just make me go to the other corner, so I guess I just have to stay here in Maine.
After all our military has to go through and put up with, from those they protect, it is truly less than nothing.

What a great idea (the t-shirts)! I wish more people would consider a pit-stop at the the Friday night FReep as part of the Washington, D.C. vacation experience! We pointed out a few weeks ago, and it still holds true, that their side looks pretty down-in-the-mouth, while we are smiling and making jokes. Would love to have you! We always have a great time. July 29th was particularly lively!

I was on the "Day in the Life" thread and a teen from Michigan said she was going to DC on vacation in 5 days. I posted the link to this thread and invited her and her family to join us.
I haven't heard from her yet but, someone else replied and said she had just read the thread and wished she could join us. Difficult from California though!

Great post! Glad you could make it. It was a lively night. I'm very sorry to be missing the next two Friday's. I'm sure the number of honks for the other side were their own people going around the block repeatedly to honk at their own people!

That car pulling up and the soldier getting out to shake our hands made my night. He went down the line, looked everyone in the eye, took each hand in both of his while he sincerely thanked us for being there. No thanks can be greater than that! What a thrill! Charged my batteries for the next several FReeps!
