London, Jul. 30 – An officer in Iran’s armed forces and an Iranian soldier were arrested together close to the southern Iraq city of Basra early Thursday morning, a London-based Arabic daily wrote in its Friday edition.

“Border guards detained on Thursday an Iranian officer and a soldier on Iraqi soil 30 kilometres northeast of Basra, one of the biggest southern cities of this country”, Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat wrote, quoting a commander in Iraq’s border patrol.

“The arrest of these two individuals came just after midnight in Al-Nashwa region 30 kilometres northeast of Basra. At present, an investigation is underway to determine how they managed to cross the border”, the daily added.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said on Thursday night that he had complained to Iranian leaders in a recent visit to Tehran that Iran continued to meddle in the affairs of its neighbour.

A quick execution should go a long way toward putting a stop to this....

We suspect quite a lot. And some of them have been in here for a long time.

I wonder how many of Iranian (and other) jihad promoters are lurking all over USA? I'm not as concerned about Iraq!

"We suspect quite a lot. And some of them have been in here for a long time."

The ongoing, fanatical Muslim Iranian régime, is principal source of Shi'ite related terrorism in the world, dating back to 1979.

If Tehran's tyrants could be overthrown, broadbased terrorism in Iraq would be reduced, terror groups such as Hizballah, Islamic Jihad & Hamas would lose arms shipments, coupled with jihadic training, not to mention removing the current Iranian nuclear arms threat.

I too, am deeply concerned about how many Iranian sleeper cells are lurking & awaiting for their diabolical orders from their psychopathic masters sitting in Tehran.

However you should be equally concerned over Iranian & other Muslim killers on the lose inside Iraq, since those Iranian terrorists, as well as Sunni serial killers are self detonating all over the place, murdering American troops, as well as our British allies & others in the Coalition. Iraqi citizens willing to combat the jihadists are also be slaughtered in great numbers.

My pleasure. I'm just a capitalistic patriot working for our troops. ;-)

I'll be back in the Sandbox after my vacation...but I'm sure looking forward to the break.
