I am currently deployed to Spain...gas here (the cheap stuff, off-base) runs around 0.95 Euro per liter, which, at current conversion rates ($1.20 per Euro, 3.78 liters per gallon,) makes it around $5.00 a gallon.

My favorite opportunity/idea is that you get a "Teaching English as a Second Language" certificate, and move to China to teach English. At the end if 6 years, you will have a very marketable English/Chinese language skill and won't be looking too far for work.
