Tancredo on Hannity

Posted on 07/26/2005 2:03:01 PM PDT by Arthur Wildfire! March

Just a quick heads up. Hannity announced he will be talking with Tancredo regarding the "Mecca Remark". If I'm not mistaken, it will be one of the segments in the last hour of his radio program. I'll try to provide a link for online feed.

I say that nuking Mecca after the next terroist attack, of any kind, against any American, anywhere in the world, would be a good start.

"I say that nuking Mecca after the next terroist attack, of any kind, against any American, anywhere in the world, would be a good start."

Many brilliant minds throughout history made similar mistaktes. That's what's called a 'hair trigger' policy. Historically, hair trigger policies escalate problems, rather than solve them.

In World War II, Italy had a similar policy with Yugoslavia. For every Italian soldier killed, they killed 100 random Yugoslavs. That did stop certain kinds of Yogoslavs, such as the Croats, if I'm not mistaken. But not the Serbs. The Serbs became even more resistant, ultimately causing big problems for the Axis powers. If it wasn't for that, Germany most likely would have won the Battle of the Bulge.

When we lost three thousand, we promptly dismantled two regimes and hunted down terrorists throughout the world.

Bombig Mecca means total war, total annihilation of those muslimes who refuse to wear ankle bracelets for the rest of their lives.

Like Truman with the A-Bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima?

We should never resort to such a wimpy retaliation for attacks on America or our citizens. Wipe out entire cities, like Roosevelt and Truman did during World War II, and they will soon get the message.

The insanity of political correctness will not allow many to admit it, but this is a holy war -- the holy Christians and Jews, against that unholy, ungodly cult called Islam (and their leftist apologists). Until we destroy the unholy symbols of Islam -- such as Mecca, Medina, and that scar above the ruins of Soloman's temple in Jerusalem -- their evil will persist, as it has persisted since about 600 A.D.

"Terrorist attacks are not caused by the use of strength. They are invited by the perception of weakness."

"The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer." -- Theodore Roosevelt, July 27, 1917

"Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival" -- Winston Churchhill

"Like Truman with the A-Bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima?"

Truman launched an attack on a military target within a nation that had declared war on us years before. You're advocating an attack on a civilian target within nation that did no such thing, solely because they share the same religion as terrorists responsible for an attack.

There's simply no comparison between the two at all. One is a solid military strategy, and the other is madness.

Well, I've already been called a troll on this thread, what else could they do?

Easier to attack, I suppose, than defend the Congressman's boneheaded comment.

A troll! That pretty much assures you're not on their Christmas Card list. I know that's harsh but there is a silver lining...you won't end up on bay buchanan's mailing list being solicited for money.

And you have been deceived by a fanatical cult into believing there is some good hidden in their murderous ideology.

Nice, but you either missed the point of my post or completely ignored it.

You're advocating a military attack against a nation with which we are not at war because they share a religion with a different, legitimate target. Does that really seem like a good idea to you?

Hiroshima and Nagasaki ended a war. Nuking Mecca would only escalate it.

The U.S. was always convinced that we could survive a Soviet nuclear attack, and that our anti-ICBM system could handle a large portion of any first strike.

We never had and still do not have an anti-ICBM system.

You're advocating a military attack against a nation

Muslims consider themselves a sovereign people under Allah worldwide. In their eyes, we're squatting on Allah's property.

The Qu'ran also teaches them that Christians, Jews, and infidels are to subjugated to Allah or killed if they resist. Muslims may fight among themselves, and Shi'ites and Sunnis certainly do, but they are united against the rest of the world. Having successfully brutalized Christians and Jews in Islamic countries, Muslims have made the west their new target of opportunity.

We would wise to learn this and prepare for more attacks, deter attacks if possible, and annihilate Islamic fighting capabilities and crush their morale and spirit if deterrence fails. That's what Churchill and FDR would do. Jimmy Carter and Neville Chamberlain style appeasement will NEVER suffice.

You don't know that.

Come now. You don't think that if we nuked Saudi Arabia to strike back at terrorists, every single Muslim nation would immediately declare war on us? That's absurd.

Just nuke the mosques where the mullahs preach hate.

"Preach hate?" Sounds like liberal claptrap. Preaching anything isn't the problem. Actions are the problem.

And if you can show that we could nuke any place where terrorists plan their murderous acts without also taking out a few hundred thousand innocent civilians, then we can talk about it.
