Natalee Holloway and friends in Aruba 5/30/05
Aruba Police Chief Discusses Missing Teen Case During Visit to Phila.
by KYW's Amy Kaplan An Aruban police official, visiting Philadelphia to learn about how local authorities here fight crime, suggests the sophistication of our DNA lab could help solve the case of Natalee Holloway, the Alabama teen who disappeared in May during a graduation trip with classmates.
Rolando Bernadina (left), chief police commissioner of Aruba, says because the island is relatively safe they don't have the resources police here in Philadelphia have to solve serious crimes:
"We just went to the lab. I hope I could take the whole lab to Aruba and we could solve that case. But we don't have the money."
Bernadina says because of judicial constraints, DNA has to be sent to Holland for evaluation and results can take several weeks -- although he admits the FBI can turn around results more quickly and is aiding in the investigation.
Bernadina calls the Holloway case "difficult and strange," but he remains hopeful that it will come to a "happy end."
What an exceedingly stupid thing to day.
"Bernadina calls the Holloway case "difficult and strange," but he remains hopeful that it will come to a "happy end."
The only "happy end" would be that Natalee is alive and gets to come home!
day = say
The murders in Bimini -- how horrible! What could have been the motive?
RWV:
Dr. Michael Baden, both places have reported negative reports on tape.
We have seen Beth Twitty at her worst nearly nightly in the past 2 months. I think we can all safely say that she is one level-headed, intelligent woman. Therefore there was MORE than mother's intuition that A) She knew right away Natalee was kidnapped and B) she knew right away that Natalee had been in the VDS home. She's no psychic.
My guess is that once the chaperone call came in while Beth was driving back to Alabama, she talked to Jug and he checked their messages. So she may have already heard the message purported to be from Natalee while still on the road. Even if that message contained no Natalee voice but DID come from Aruba with the background noises and a voice saying "Are you calling home? Hang up that phone!" Beth would KNOW her daughter was being held against her will and she'd easily be convincing enough to get that state trooper who pulled her over for speeding to call the Feds the way it happened.
And remember, she must have listened to that call dozens of times, certainly 10 times with Charles Croes, before she went to the VDS house. And she instantly knew that Natalee had been in THAT house. Indeed, it was probably the monkey in the background.
MSNBC reporting two witnesses have come forward. Equusearch will search two new areas as early as tomorrow based on the new reports.
just a rhetorical question, nothing more....
gardening in aruba (as employment) is most likely a menial and surely an unskilled job.....unless "gardener" as spoken in the jail means his lansdcape contractor, how does a mere gardener aquire a car there, and presumably work begins for him early monday morning so what was he doing out cruising around at 3am sunday nite? I know these are defense atty type questions, but they will be asked.

I know she loves animals, but I completely agree. I think Greta assumes her viewers are smart and can read between the lines. She likes OPEN reporting and being able to tell whole truths, and Aruba (and possibly even the Holloway Twitties who didn't want to upset the Aruban powers that be) would not let her.
oops, ping post #128.

A potential break in the search for missing teenager Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
NBC News has learned that there is a new witness in the case.
This witness claims to know where Holloways body was placed.
The witness is reportedly cooperating with Aruban police.
No other details about the witness or what that person witnessed is available.
There are still three suspects in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and if their attorneys have their way, the FBI will stay out of new evidence.
Attorneys for the suspects are filing for injunctions to stop an unprecedented order from the Prime Minister, which they don't feel is legal, to give the FBI complete access to prosecutors' files.
David Kock, representing Satish Kalpoe, said in a telephone interview, "If today it's the FBI, tomorrow it will be Colombia or some other country wanting documents. This is a regular case that has been blown out of proportion."
Kalpoe's attorney is filing today. He says while there is no agreement in writing between prosecutors and the FBI, a prosecutor flew to the U.S. Sunday to meet with FBI agents.
Regarding the picture of the wooden table between the two pictures of the Fishermans' huts, where is that location and has it been thoroughly searched? Can that tabletop be detached from its base?

Oh no, the hair was NOT Natalee's? Well, do we know anything about that piece of cloth? Sigh. I know that Natalee is probably not alive, and I wanted there to be evidence so that her killer(s) will get what they deserve.
This better be straight up or I might just go to Aruba myself. This has surpassed being ridiculous.
I assume that would be one million $ only for Natalee's safe return? I really feel for her family. I know they'd give the money to have her safe. I don't think she is alive, though.
Yes, that's it. Do you know the location of this pic?
