The murders in Bimini -- how horrible! What could have been the motive?
Bimini, Bahamas, Jamaica, Virgin Islands and now Aruba. I stopped travelling in the eastern part of the Caribbean in 1990. A buddy of mine who has been in the Foreign Service for 22 years and posted to places like LaHore, Pakistan and Bogata in the late 70's told me that the most dangerous place of all was a year he did in Kingston, Jamaica. Carried a gun and a bodyguard with him at all times. They DONT like white American males. I was in a Bar/Restaurant called the Three Queens in Nassau,Bahamas in 1988. I was there with a local who I had been fishing with and he took me to the place. I was the only white person there. Had I not been with him , I wouldnt have made it back to the hotel.
When you get away from your Resort/Hotel, you are on your own. I only travel to the Yucatan now and stay on the Island of Cozumel. Fishing is great and the diving is better than Cayman. Aruba and all of its' citizens can kis my big white ***!
