Vice President Cheney did NOT send Wilson to Niger to check on the yellow cake story.
Wilson's wife, a CIA employee recommended her husband be sent to Niger.
Beginning, middle and end of the story.
I wonder how it costs to keep the ol' DNC hate Machine running these days? Oh well, I'm sure Soros, Move-On and DU would shovel $50's and $100 into the boiler if that's what it took.
Never mind that slick willie spent $500 on a haircut on the tarmac at LAX.....or was it a house call from Sharon Stone!
I wonder if Steffie could possibly choose a worse panel. David Gergen,E.J. Dionne and a woman I don't know, but who is gleeful over the fact that Coburn and Brownback have questions about Roberts. BTW, Gergen tells us that the WH has been contacting conservatives like James Dobson, etc. for over a year assuring them that Roberts is one of us. He says "one of us" in a low, ominous voice. So I am to believe that Dr. Dobson and others have been talking to David Gergen about their contacts from the WH. Hah!
That's my personal view of the Roberts nomination, too. I don't know where Charles Krauthammer was coming from or what he was basing this pessimistic assessment on. Mr. Krauthammer usually defends his provocative assertions much better than he did today.
His wife recommended him....
But who actually authorized the trip? This, IMO, is a great unanswered question.
Sheesh, we need Ted Olson as AG.
Well, at least he gets credit for having an all female panel.
Needless to say, I nearly fell out of my chair because I can not imagine the two being personal friends. Stranger still....Juan said yes, at which point Hume and the rest of the panel laughed.
Back during the Thomas confirmation hearings, when Thomas was being smeared, Juan wrote a long, impassioned essay in the Washington Post defending Thomas. It was a thing of beauty and probably helped him win confirmation.
Interesting. Equally intriguing is how did Kurtz know. Schumer said earlier that he is not listening to the "groups," and I am surely going to believe that. Feh!
I'll bet he likes to shut his tired eyes, let his mind roll, and pretend he's Dick Cheney, enjoying a cool sherbet, pleasantly chatting with the Ice Cream man, of a Sunday Afternoon. ;>
Not sure how .. but no one on the panel disputed or corrected him
Biden is on record saying that as well. It was in defense of the idea of citing extraordinary circumstances for, say, an SC nomination of Brown so shortly after confirming her. He said that it's different because an SC justice can write law.
Excellent investigation and information. I had not known that he went to school with Valerie Plame. VERY, VERY interesting.
I have a question. Is that Berg Association related in any way to Nick Berg's father. Nick Berg was beheaded in Iraq and his father was an outspoken critic of the war.
We're expecting company tomorrow night so I'm a little rushed today but will look for any information that freepers have about this matter.
Good for Juan. Sometimes, two wrongs do make a right, I guess. ; )
Actually it is probably to be appointed a director which 10 years ago I would say was unlikely but he may well get to be a director of the joint venture eventually.
Exactly. Have you ever seen those man in the street interviews where people are asked who their Senator is and they don't know? Sean Hannity did one a few years ago and asked who the Vice President was and an astounding number of people didn't know.
I'm an advocate for an IQ test requirement to be permitted to vote. LOL
Great post, Peach! Timmy (and the MSM) should televise Larry Johnson's totally awful "prediction." (Won't hold my breath, though).
The average Occidental would be astounded by the Corporate Culture, if China's is anything like Japan's and I know it must be. I'll bet it's incomprehensibly demanding.
As opposed to say, France, who just went to what, a 30 hour work 'weak'.
