"Fineman says it's not what the White House knew and when they knew it, the question is: Did someone at the White House give reporters classified information?"

"Gregory says reporters cannot be liable because they don't have access to secret information."

That's BS (pardon my French) - how the heck does he know?? If there are major leaks coming out of the CIA, possibly even by Plame herself, they certainly can and do have such access.

AND

"The panel discusses the many crimes the White House may be guilty of. Outing a spy, conspricy, obstruction, perjury, etc. Cottle says the White House may weasel out of it...perjury is too hard to prove."

This should be changed to the Press may weasel out of it....

Russert can talk about the subject all he wants, but if he touches on something he talked with the Grand Jury about, he could be found in contempt himself.

Let the press shoot themselves in the foot. I won't stop them.

That Larry Johnson you mentioned wrote a letter in the NYT in July 2001 that people were being scared unnecessarily about terrorism and that the next big threat was really from a nuclear attack.

Not two months later, 9/11 happened and we were shown why Larry is an ex-CIA agent.

That was too easy! I could not believe Js talking point that we do not need another "prep school, top of his class at Harvard Law, son of an executive" on the SC.

If that wasn't a 'racist' comment then J does not know the meaning of the word.

Stalking points. I like that.

Damn, I wish I could take credit for being terribly clever.

But, I forgot the cardinal rule..."spell check is your friend" ;-)

Nevertheless, I intend to use it. In addition to the Rove committed perjury line they will now be taking there is also the "he leaked a confidential document, which is a felony" line. Imagine what they could do to Rove if they actually had some evidence.

On a lighter note, I just love the IBM commercials that FNS broadcasts. The one with the medieval king is pretty funny. "Are you saying we thrown money at it???" LOL

He probably did.

Over on c-span a very interesting talk given by Peter Morici of some univ.He states that the Chiese currency, the juan, should be floated at market rates where ever the market takes it, the chicoms won't allow that, they don't want to lose control.

One of his statements that got me is that the juan is overvalued by 20-40% and that, "on any day of the week the chinese central bank(controlled by the commies) can value their currency anyway they want."

Their current .03% "float" of their currency is just a sham accd. to Morici. Interesting stuff, he says we pay interest on debt now held by the chinese, it will bite us in the butt one day.

Frankly, I don't think $500 a year is all that much for the services of a makeup artist for someone who routinely goes before the cameras.

Don't you love the way they claim Blair spent $3000 on makeup when the bulk of the money, or maybe all of it, went to hire makeup artists?

When will they start?

Since she was referring to DC establishment lawyers, mostly in private practice, I don't think the support will be very public. More likely behind the scenes.
