Would anybody miss the Muslims? If some magical disease that only killed followers of Islam manifested itself and wiped every last one of them out would it really be a great loss to humanity?

Islam is unique among civilizations in the fact that it has actually devolved over time. It was more civilized and prosperous 1000 years ago! While at one time Islam was an intellectual and scientific culture, in modern times it lists only the suicide belt and world-wide poverty as its most far-reaching contributions to humanity. Go Islam!

The problem here is that we can do the following: win the hearts of the world; win the battle of armies, win the logistical arguements; but still lose. The way we can lose is via Islamic Nukes. What victory will there be if we lose London, New York, Los Angeles and Paris ? The main emphasis now should be on preventing and removing nukes from Islamic hands. There is absolutely NO reason the Free World should tolerate Nuclear Weapons in the hands of religious extremists. Pakistan and Iran should be next. I suggest multiple invasions from Iraq and India. Primary targets are Pakistani Nukes, Iranian Nuclear Sites, Islamic Terrorist Camps and Violent Islamic Religious Leaders. The 'peace at all costs' crowd certainly wont be able to cry that there is no connection between Iran or Pakistan and terrorists. They certainly wont be able to cry that there is no WMD in Pakistan.

This may sound a bit "nuts" but I've wondered for a year or two now, what the impact would be if Muhammed Ali were to convert back to Christianity and repudiate islam. I realize that the chance of that happening is something like .0000001 %. Still, other seemingly unlikely things have happened in our lifetimes.

At one time he was termed the most recognized person on the planet. His conversion to islam in the 60's rocked the world. He would certainly be risking his life in so doing, but hell, he's done that before and he's probably nearing the end anyway. As I said, it's a low probability event, but it would be an event of huge proportions.
