Other then speaking about "tightening up internally" or "fortifying the borders" or "Arresting illegals" what actual specifics does Tancrado call for to
"take a hard-line stance on immigration." ?
I am not interested in the usual sloganeering and cheer-leading of the pro-Tancradeo battalion. I don't want to hear the mindless nonsense about "fortifying our borders", what I want is some real solid specific ideas on what Tancradeo and his crowd think is the solution to illegal immigration

Why does this have to be a story? We have other things we'd rather be talking about, like a Supreme Court justice to confirm and an energy bill to pass.

The muslim "leaders" whining need to STF up. If 9/11 had happened any time prior to the 1960's, Mecca and Medina would already be glass parking lots. Americans have been about as patient as it gets. One of these days, we may not be so patient. Americans will only take it in the shorts so often until they get ugly.

Good. I like a man who doesn't toss his principles overboard at the first sign of adversity. After all, the president himself has said that nothing is off the table.

"I have nothing to apologize for in that respect," Tancredo said No. You don't. Nor should you.
Tom is an embarrassment to the GOP only because he has balls and this points out the fact that the GOP rarely uses theirs.

"When he makes such a statement he should have the courage to go back and apologize," said Rafaat Ludin, president of the Colorado Muslim Society, an organization that includes a mosque and represents 15,000 Muslims in the Denver area. "He is trying to provoke these terrorists who are making our lives miserable, here and across the world. How can you in your right mind call for something like that?"interesting.
Tancredo should have the "courage" to retreat when he comes under fire?
Why do I get the niggling suspicion that the "terrorists" to whom Rafaat Ludin refers are none other than the nations of the West?

Those of the Hard Right who claim that "Super Majorities" support for their views need to read the above link. This is an issue that has to be fought and won just like any other issue. The Right cannot win on this issue right now because it's spokespeople come across as fringe wackos head jobs. If you are serious about this issue, here is what needs to be done. You need to present, non emotionally, some serious thoughtful ideas on how to solve the problem of illegal immigration. The current vision being offered by the Hard Right of rounding up and deporting all the illegals and putting the US Military on a fortified border is NEVER going to happen. As you can see, the bulk of voters do not support that extremist a solution. So what the Anti-immigration crowd needs to do is present so solid, workable ideas rather then foaming at the mouth anytime anyone points out how fundamentally unworkable their current ideas are.

Now now, Yer Majesty!
We don't call that a "Retreat" it's an "Advance To The Rear"!
And you have that niggling suspicion because you are RIGHT.
But you knew that!

Why does this have to be a story? The MSM is pushing it. See the increase in Tancredo and Savage stories. It's all MSM driven. It's all Hillary driven. It's the dumbing down of conservatism.
Hillary during the last election had to cool her heels waiting for the right time. So, these upstarts, both Tancredo and Savage had to cool their heels during the last election, actually endorsing Bush.
But now it's Hillary time and Savage and Tancredo are both out saying things that enough people feel. Never mind that what they are saying crosses a fine line of what will slowly resolve our problems and what will actually put us completely in the Reign of Hillary.
To: neverdem
So he said that, so what. The people who don't like him either benefit from illegal immigration (country club republicans aka traitors) or idiots, nuts, Democrats or other assorted freaks.

Dont be such a dhimmi dumbass.
Wait till the bombers hit LA, or NY. Then wait to control borders, we cant offend anyone while they are killing us.
Get bent.
If anything happens prior to '06, see who controls the house.
Security first, political correctness last.
I have plenty of Lard for the Muslims.

I support Tancredo 100%.
Tancredo simply has the guts to say what many of us feel and are too afraid to say.
PC run amok is killing this country and the war on terror.
