I seriously doubt the Provos are working with AQ. Not that they haven't had their share of nasty bedfellows in the past. But IMO, it's just not in their interest right now. However, I wouldn't put it past the RIRA or the CIRA. Except for the Omagh bombing, neither group has been nearly as effective as the Provos, and would probably welcome some assistance.

Very good point about less casualties of each sucessive terrorist strike in the West. By going after them we took out most of their experts that trained for years. Maybe now these guys have only been training for weeks or months. Plus there are less places for covert training.
