Is it possible that the IRA is also working with AQ?

"Excellent if they catch them alive...."
I don't think the police can even spank them.... can they be shipped to Guantanamo instead - for some meaningful dialog ?

I agree with you. I am having trouble believing reports that it was only detenators meant to scare people and there were no explosives involved.
I feel bad I couldn't remember the freeper's name that first explained how it could be a bad batch of explosives...he, like you had a military background I believe.

If "spank" is what we want to do, they shouldn't go to Gitmo; they should go to Egypt.

Only the use of the remains of their former stock of detonators, improvised with some other common items, saved the day....or this is a copycat situation. Too early for conclusions = common sense.

Tuning in late, police with flak jackets going into hospital. Arrest being made possibly.

From what I heard we are talking about two different guys.
The one who was holding the rucksack when it denonated. The other tossed a rucksack into a carriage and took off.
Uncomfirmed reports of arrests being made in hospital.

btw, the Founding Fathers also must have had 'defective minds,' since they also believed in freedom of religion......Not if that 'religion' went around blowing people up. I believe our founding fathers had a little less tolerance than we have for such activities.

Reuters also reported that one of the devices was a nail bomb. The other devices were detonators.
To: cavanman
No word on that, but using gunpowder (Cordite) as a precursor or trigger charge isn't unheard of, since it is easy to set off gunpowder.

Every Civilized Nation on this earth MUST CONDEMN all uses of terrorist behavior, and make such conspiracies PUNISHABLE BY DEATH of the most horrific type for the perp. (Example: burial with a dead pig, possibly, might be best for some) Anyone who gives encouragement to terrorism by, for example, extolling us to "pay attention to the grievances of the terrorists" must be charged with sedition, and jailed. There can be no tolerance of this.
We must ALL band together in this cause. If we don't Civilization will deteriorate back into the Dark ages: with city-states and walled cities, commerce and industry becoming more and more compartmentalized and much smaller, and people mistrusting everyone they meet unless they know them personally, and are part of their very small, close, community.
