The Australian leader John Howard is in town meeting with Tony Blair today. If that's the motive, London must be rotten with these creeps.

Witness on BBC has just said the guy with a rucksack was an 'English' guy. That is short hand for 'white'. Curious? Bosnian? Chechyan?

Time to turn down the a/c in his cell-but don't forget proper Koran handling procedures-we don't want Durbin to get upset.

Another observation:
7/7 -- Bombings during morning rush hour
7/21 -- Bombings during/after lunch hour rush
??? -- Bombings during afternoon rush hour?
I don't know if a trend is developing or not. It's anyone's guess.

CNN: Witnesses smelled a sour smell associated with the incident at one of the locations. What would cause that smell? My initial thought would be people pooping in their pants. But, that's not confirmed.

What if he still had explosives on him?If they were close enough to take him down - they were going to die anyway or be horribly injured. But from his "dismay" - he had already done his best shot.

BBC Radio is reporting that only detonators exploded, no bombs. Were explosive there? They just didn't go off.

Oh it's quite possible they screwed it up. Look at Ramzi Youssef setting his flat on fire in the Phillipines trying to build a bomb to assassinate Pope John Paul II.
All the experts are in Iraq fighting the real experts, the US military. Even the 7/7 guys were rank amateurs who managed to do minimal damage given the circumstances. In fact, when looked at objectively, 911 was by far the most successful operation conducted by islamists, and they didn't envision the towers collapsing. That was an incredible stroke of fortune for them. They are cunning and vicious, but their tactics and weaponry are something out of the 14th century. They are like some tribe from the land that time forgot.

Sulfur smells like eggs, doesn't it? I don't know that I'd describe that as a sour smell. But maybe in an emergency situation, witnesess don't choose the correct descriptive words.

Did I miss it, or did the Sky News reporter completely fail to get the eyewitness in his interview to describe what the man who dropped the bomb and ran looked like? He had time to ask the of course far more important, "How do you feel?" late in the interview...
----
his boom didn't detonate? he must be so embarrassed . He now owes Allah 72 virgins.
