New thread time
Gee I am so shocked!
Lindsay Graham saying 'I think he's exactly what the country is looking for, a solid conservative and....' Didn't catch the rest.
I agree completely with the Rove part, but I do beleive that Dems are actually exceeding their own stupidity lately. If it wasn't so much fun to watch, I'd almost feel sorry for them.
Yup. I've gotten that from my homework, what I haven't gotten is a handle on his judicial philosophy. The pickings are very thin.
But they call them fetuses.
Nancy Keenan
NARAL Pro-Choice Americas new president is an experienced public official whos won three statewide elections; a lifelong activist with a deep commitment to a womans right to choose and right to privacy; and a dynamic leader who will build the strength of our powerful grassroots presence across the country.
She served the people of Montana as a State Legislator and State Superintendent of Education and ran a strong campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000. As Superintendent of Education, she brought Montana schools into the 21st Century with a focus on technology in the classroom and creating opportunities for distance learning. She also showed the force of her pro-choice commitment and the strength of her personal leadership when she stood up to a public effort to excommunicate her from the Catholic Church.
Prior to her 18-years holding state office Ms. Keenan taught special education for elementary school children with severe disabilities.
Working her way through college at a copper smelter, Ms. Keenan earned a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Montana State University. She also holds a Masters in Education Administration from the University of Montana. She has served as National President of the Council of Chief State School Officers as well as Chairwoman of the Council of Chief State School Officers Legislative Committee.
You are thinking like a Republican.
The Left has no sense of history. Even if that history happened last week.
If so, I think the logic might be that the left groups, who the Dems are so unbelievably tied up with right now but America is not yet fully aware of the degree of entanglement, will demand a fight.
Which will serve to highlight the degree of entanglement.
But that's just a swag. I really can't argue with your logic. It sounds like Roberts is close to being the bulletproof monk here. He might have been the better Stevens pick.
it's called liberal logic....
Thanks maica.
W said Roberts played Fuet Ball....what the hell is Fuet ball?
There really is something to the sterotype about midwestern character. One can tell a midwesterner out here in tinsel town a mile away. When I run across a genuine down to earth person, I often ask if they are from the midwest. I have a pretty good track record of soliciting a yes. Of course, I have a pretty good ear from accent variations, subtle as they might be, which helps. :)
The one that was just (overturned) decided last week? cool.
And why do I think he won't remind us of that about a million times?
I think Rehnquist stayed on because it would have been very difficult indeed for the President to have to fill two seats at once. He'll resign in time to get the replacement. Bush spelled out his philosophy on judicial activism tonight in his announcement. He won't go against his own principles. Look for a 2006 Rehnquist resignation.
Yah, Linseed Graham has been blasted by his conservative constitutents.
They don't need your Darvon, and Jack Daniels.
They've already dusted off their bongs from the attic............
Thanks for that. I figured I had just soft of, you know, guessed wrong, but I now see that goes much deeper than that.
**Those are truly amazing numbers when you consider how liberal NYC is. Rush had one of his better shows i have heard today, could have won a broadcast award with today's show.**
Totally agree - Rush was awesome!! Can't wait to hear him tomorrow!!!! (How's the weather down at the Keys?)
