"Breaux (D) FMR Louisiana Senator - Actually making some sense on Hannity and Colmes."
I beg to differ, inferred Ginsburg was not an extremist just leaning a little to the left.

Orrin Hatch coming on strong. Of Chuckie, he says 'He didn't look very happy to me.' Speaking of tonight. LOL! Also said there was no excuse for their No votes on Roberts previously.
To: NormsRevenge
Hatch says more than 70 senators were consulted.. Oh My!!!QUESTION: Will this be Hillary's ultimate "move to the center?"
What's your prediction on her vote?
To: A CA Guy
I hopped over to Hugh Hewitt's website because I admire his opinion. He knows the guy very well. He is stoked!
To: PhilipFreneau
"I have been reading this thread, and I am patiently waiting for someone to post proof that Roberts is a conservative. A 99-0 voice vote in 2003 for a place on the DC Court screams moderate -- another O'Connor -- exactly what Specter asked for. I dread we have been 'Bushed' again."
I think I speak for many, at this point, by saying: Zip it!

That's right...during the previous hearing on Roberts for the DC Circuit, Hatch called Schumer a "dumb a--" for his questions - during the hearing.
To: PhilipFreneau
Go read up about Roberts and then shut up. You haven't any knowledge about the man, but ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nooooooooooooo...he's another O'Connor, noooooooooooo he's just NOT a Conservative, and what's with that " we've been Bushed again" crap?
It sounds as though you are so "conservative", that you're in a place all your own. It sure isn't CONSERVATIVE, though.
To: RoseofTexas
When will the confirmation hearing begin? After Labor Day unless the Senate wants to work in August.

Breaux is a good and decent guy.Yes he is. I believe he didn't want to run again here in La. is because he is too honorable and decent a man to run as a dimorat, so didn't run at all.

I wish these Conservatives in the Senate would quit starting their talking points with,"I really like him" in reference to these Liberal Rats like Schumer.

They think he's "better" than Gonzales.....boy are they in for a surprise.
To: maggief
Leaky had quite a smirk on his face when he said that, didn't he? It was also mentioned that the confirmation hearing would be "fair," but take a "fair amount of time."I think a fair amount of time would be a week or two, after all, most of the people on the committee were there during Robert's other confirmation hearing and there shouldn't be that many questions they haven't already asked.
If the dems sink to trying to smear this good man, the committee should just vote on him and send it out to the floor, where he'll be overwhelmingly approved.
This man has good connections on both sides of the aisle and is respected by both sides. We should also let it be known that if the nuclear option is brought to bear on this nomination, it's already in place for all future nominations.

Roberts was born in Buffalo I heard.
