This is going to be ugly and dirty.

I sense a real power shift. Bush and his team really are on the top of their game and are finished with taking crap from Schumer, Leahy et al.
The way W was toying with the press corps yesterday told me all I needed to know about how confident he feels.

I think there will be delaying tactics in committee, as I said, but they won't be terminal.
The Dims need to be extremely careful not to trigger the Constitutional Option on the floor. They will lose that issue, IMO.

Did you notice the picketers already outside the Supreme Court? They have nice printed signs that say "extraordinary nominee, extraordinary circumstances." They were apparently ready regardless of who the President nominated. Can't let the Left frame the issues. Can't let this be decided by liberal pressure groups.

"A 99-0 voice vote in 2003 for a place on the DC Court screams moderate -- another O'Connor -- exactly what Specter asked for. I dread we have been 'Bushed' again."
I think Scalia was confirmed 99-0.
Is he a moderate too?

The demos are going to go to war, and they will need every drop of help from the MSM they can get.
I'm sure the MSM is rooting around in Roberts' trash cans right now. They are checking his video rental records, searching for anyone who will publicly slime him, looking for quotes they can take out of context to make Roberts appear "extreme".

Colmes and John Breaux on now trying to split conservatives over Roberts, saying he's not conservative enough. LOL.

Gergen is an idiot. Until Stevens or kennedy retire that is unlikely to happen.

LOL! I scrinch my eyes almost closed but I will try it with one eye.

It was very understated with Roberts looking very humble to be nominated.
It was a simple moment.
I don't know anything about the guy, but hear he is a Legal Superstar.

"But I get the feelin that Specter will faithfully carry the GOP water on the Roberts nomination." Bush backed Specter in PA and helped him win.
Bush met with Specter yesterday to discuss this nomination.
It sure adds up that Specter would finally perform.
But I will never trust Specter.

I agree....when the moonbats get their nads in an uproar I too get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. JOY!
