I love my President! For somebody they constantly lambast as being "stupid" he is sure too smart for them! LOL

Sounds Good... This is the only quote that really bothers me
"Roe v. Wade is the settled law of the land. ... There's nothing in my personal views that would prevent me from fully and faithfully applying that precedent."
John Roberts

Perhaps he's just a very likeable character. Kinda like Reagan was. Even his enemies liked him.

I think I'll fire one up with ya.
Will you two, please, take it to the Smoky Backroom.
And save me a seat!!
To: Charles Henrickson
I'm pleased too. I'm just concerned about what low-blow tactic the Dems will take. Remember Bork and Thomas. They will stop at nothing to keep Roe intact. It's our age's civil war issue. I can see it coming.
To: k2blader
Yes.
Somewhat.
That's what I gather anyway. He's a Rhenquist clone as far as I've seen. In other words, he'll do, but he's no Clarence Thomas either.

I would've been happy with Judge Brown, too. Maybe W is saving her for Chief when Rehnquist steps down.
Good pick, tho.

Well then. Bush must have made a good choice. =]

Woo hoo!!! I'm with you, brother! I am very impressed.

With a little luck we can get Judge Janice Rogers Brown bumped up to SCOTUS and show how a sensible (black) woman should rule, judicially.
I agree...If he chose JANICE ROGERS BROWN it would be two conservatives and a brillant move. Think about it. The first pick of John Roberts is going to be a war...but he can put the dems on their heels when he picks a minority woman the next time. He can say what? are the dems gonna fight with my pick of a minority woman too?

The Dems on TV don't seem too upset. This is making me very uneasy.

You're welcome!
Sorry for the delay, I've been calling the county precinct judges & assistants to confirm they'll work the polls in November...

I literally prayed all day that GWB would not nominate Gonzales, I was hoping for Janice Rogers Brown 1st, Luttig 2nd, and Roberts 3rd, I said to myself that any of these three would make my day, and George W. Bush has made my day :-)

I thought maybe Elton John or Hillary Clinton. Not that I predicted anything with certainty. But I'm very glad it's Roberts, from all I'm hearing right now! God bless Bush!

You know that DU is headed for a train wreck when the inevitable comments turn to "Canada is looking better all the time." As they are tonight ;)

now where are all the fringe folks who insisted he was going to sell out the conservative movement and nominate GonzalesThose people's track record is about the same as the MSM.
To: JediForce
The real question is: What are they saying over at DU??
