Well people they just moved the goal posts.

How is this news? Of course they were going to filibuster certain Supreme Court nominees. The question is will they do that if Clemens is nominated. I think not.

Was Boxer part of that 14 Senator coalition? If not...what the hell do we care what that bitch thinks?Couldn't tell ya if she was....I just reported it..You Decide

Ditto your comment..
I don't believe there is a large enough scrotum in the entire Republican Senate to do the "deed" and bitch slap the leftist losers.....
I will publicly apologize in the forum if I'm wrong ---- and pray that will be necessary ----but they will NEVER use the Nuclear Constitutional Option.

I think some of the liberals will still try to filibuster her...she isn't consistently liberal on any issue, other than Roe v. Wade, to their liking...the question is will the more moderate Democrats (not the few DINO's) go with them?
To: fedupjohn
The truly striking thing about this? It is the fact that almost every singly swinging person on this board KNEW that this EXACT situation would transpire. The remarkable and frustrating thing is that the chowder-heads in Congress, read: McCain, Graham and the others apparently couldn't figure this out.
Remember in Bush 41's inaugural address he literally reached out his hand to Democrats? What happened? George Mitchell is what happened!
Just what does it take for these Republican dopes to realize that while they lust for Senate comity, the Democrats are wiggling their comity in front of Republicans with a rusty shiv behind their back!
When will they learn? When!

Well people they just moved the goal posts.Well, so what? Bush moved the goal post in the Rove affair. The media said so.
This may be the best possible outcome. How better to show the duplicity of the Dems? Eliminate debate and vote without looking back.

They love it.
You may be right. It is possible that neither one of them is smart enough to realize that their friends from the other side of the aisle have lied to their faces.

The nominee will be Janice Rogers Brown.
Bush is announcing the nomination of an African-American woman in primetime, daring the Dems to filibuster.

Even McCain said SCOTUS nominee will get up & down vote*.* Unless, of course, he can get some face time at the Sunday Screaming Faces shows, or some loving strokes by his best pals over at the New York Times.

Yes, they did and I guess it doesn't surprise me.
But Boxer has a huge rep for shooting her mouth off. I'll wait for Harry Reid to say it.
The minute it comes out of Reid's mouth, it's time to go nuclear.
And Frist better not hesitate on that.
