Senator Barbara Boxer appearing on Fox News this afternoon was asked about the 'Gang of Seven' deal not to Filibuster nominees unless it is Extra-ordinary circumstances; declared that "with the right to privacy and Roe v Wade on the table this is an Extra-ordinary circumstance and the Filibuster is on the table".
Well people they just moved the goal posts.

It is possible that neither one of them is smart enough to realize that their friends from the other side of the aisle have lied to their faces. I'll put my money on "they knew the RATs were lying to their faces and did it anyway". I'll leave the "why" for others to put money on.

Ah... I guess Schumer was busy. He had Boxer do the dirty work.
Maybe Chuckie got stuck to Wilson. Following too close.

Oh, I'm certain Boxer and several other Senators will hate Clement, but I would be surprised if majority of them didn't vote for her.

Bush should appoint Rove to the Supreme Court just to watch the DamRats have a spastic spinctor fit!

I would love JRB to be put up on prime time. Man that would push the Libs over the edge again. (Which begs the question, when will they finally go over the cliff?)

Bush should appoint Rove to the Supreme Court just to watch the DamRats have a spastic spinctor fit! If that wouldn't gross me out, I'd pay money to see it. As it is, I'd pay money to hear about it happening.

"with the right to privacy and Roe v Wade on the table this is an Extra-ordinary circumstance and the Filibuster is on the table". Boxer would support the devil for the Supreme Court if he would defend Roe V. Wade.

Yes, Frist needs to keep the GOP senate in line. I too love a southern gentleman, but, even they should know there is a time to open the can of "whip hynie"! (smile)
To: fedupjohn
Well, now, didn't anyone with a brain know that they would define "extraordinary" to fit their needs? Surely, McCain, Graham, et al, were not so naive that they believed it could mean anything else!
To: fedupjohn
I thought the so-called "Gang of 14" was the group to determine whether circumstances were extraordinary or not, not the Democrat Senate at large... Of course Boxer, Kennedy, et al. would feel
any nominee presented an extraordinary circumstance...
This is not unexpected. Look for an announcement from one or more of the "Gang"...

We need to hold the entire Senate caucus and get 5 Democrats over...is that possible even on a conservative nomination?
If the results are something like 59-35 (63%), with 6 not voting, does the filibuster get closed?
