He was grinning yesterday, too. He must have enjoyed playing the big fish called "White House Press Corps" knowing what he was going to do today, to reel them all in.

Prime time! Brilliant move!

When I last checked in at 2:00 it was all doom and gloom around here because it was almost a foregone conclusion that Clements was it. Now there seems to be some confidence that we are getting someone else. What gives?

Well there is nothing wrong with hot dogs, potato salad and PBR, they are missing out on one of the greatest things in life! The Midwest! I love it! Even if I move I will always be a Midwesterner at heart! No offense to other regions, but we are the heartland and we love the people who think the same way we do in other regions. The only thing I hate is the Dag Gone snow!

I have said from day one:

Luttig is my choice but...a white, conservative, christian male from European lineage has about as much chance as Spongebob to get the nomination.

Why is no one mentioning the Dems' worst nightmare, Janice Rogers Brown? What a fantastic pick that would be!

"Thank you. Interesting thought about what you said regarding Clement's maritime law experience - the UN trying to implement new restrictions regarding international waters. (I'm sorry but I cannot remember the acronym for it!) Between a judge conversant in adjudicating such law and Bolton in the UN cleaning house, this could be a tag team that effectively looks out for American interests."

Apologies if someone answered this one already. I'm not even halfway through this thread yet. You are probably referring to the Law of the Sea Treaty. Bush has come out in favor of this and I've yet to figure out why exactly. Both Cato and Heritage are curious, as well. I haven't studied it thoroughly, but at first glance it appears to have underwater Kyoto Protocol implications. If anyone knows more, please feel free to add info.
